Sunday Funday was taken to a whole other level - specifically, the Contemporary Center rooftop - as Yelp Elites celebrated the impending Texas summer over Texas Spirits, Tiger Beer, Cornucopia, VIVO, and Primizie - what can we say? We like to cover all of our bases. Read all of the reviews of the event here.
Every now and then, we remember that there is a work life balance and like to send our Elites to a sweatfest. This month we reached out to up and coming MOD Fitness, a new gym that specializes in Pilates movements and barre exercises. Read all of the reviews of the event here!

The first Hamburg Elite event started on the 15th of January in the Hamburg Speicherstadt. It was the first Elite event ever, for some Elites a big WOW and a happy get together with the other Yelpers.
The Grillfino guys invited us for a special Burner tasting, not Burger! They opened exclusivly in the evening and presented us their fresh and tasty food. Steak and Chicken grilled on a lava-grill and combined with fresh ingredients. The Yelp crowed were so enthusiastic. It was a awesome taste. Cold beer brewed by Von Freude and homemade cupecakes from Jay supplemented the special dinner at the Markethall.
Orlando's Yelpers rocked out the city's largest Yelper Party to date at the Orlando Science Center on Wednesday with dinosaurs, princesses, ninjas, and even a falcon!
It was a night filled with incredible local bites, drinks, and entertainment that also saw local Yelpers raise over $7,000 for the Orlando Science Center! Inside, guests had the chance to party to sick tunes by DJ D-Strong while the giant outside terrace was transformed into a wonderland by West Elm Orlando and 99 Market//Porch Therapy where folks ate burgers, drank beer, and grooved to the soulfull sound of Orlando's own 10-piece soul band, The Sh-Booms.
But heck- This is Yelp! Check out what Orlando Yelpers thought of the party here, gaze at the visual delights of the party in photos captured by fabulous local photographers here, and check out the tremendous local partners below!

A chief indian, an astronaut, a cowboy...no, we are not talking about some band tribute to The Village People, but about the Hat Party that yelpers in Santiago enjoyed this wednesday as a pre Halloween celebration.
It was a night of mojitos, micheladas, cocktails and great apetizers provided by Moloko Vitacura, a promising brand new spot in Santiago's nightlife. And, of course, there was a hat contest, where mad hatters, chicken hats, panamas and fedoras presented a seriously fierce competition.
Taste of Stockholm is an annual, 3-day culinary event where restaurants, traiteurs, and foodtrucks in Stockholm show off their signature dishes, give away secret tricks and the possibility to cook and talk with famous chefs. Yelp Stockholm Elites got a chance to experience it first hand on September 26th. The night started off with cooking together in Yelp hats, then a taste tour of Olive oil and to top it off an extraordinary show at Lavazza where they taught us how to eat Amaretto and coffee "Caviar" and drink Kaffa. It sure was a night to remember.
It's impossible to talk about São Paulo without mentioning its big skyscrapers, graffiti artists and, of course, its incredible variety of gastronomic options. What if it was possible to combine all of these things in one place? Well, that was exactly what we did last night! On September 10th, Yelpers from all parts of the city came to Butantan Food Park for the first Yelper Party in Latin America. More than 500 guests and 27 partners got together to enjoy Beco do Yelp (Yelp's Alley), an amazing party that gathered funds for non-profit, Projeto Quixote. There was a lot of street culture going on: complete with an exhibit of skateboarding videos, a breakdancing challenge, on top of an enormous amount of delicious food, live painting and even massage sessions! You can read the reviews here and see the marvelous photos. Still curious? We have some more info here!

Last Friday we had the first Yelp Party in Lisbon. We had wine, candy, tapas and chocolate cake. I mean, is there anything better than chocolate cake to celebrate such an event? Yes! "The Best Chocolate Cake In the World" and that's precisely what we had.
"Come Fly Away With Yelp" at the famed National WWII Museum's US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center brought out the most sizzling sponsors and over 800 Yelpers dressed to the nines to pay homage to wartime glory and the 1940s this past Friday.
There were bites and sweets to satisfy any palate, and tasty, local libations from here to Thibodaux to wash it down! The New Movement MC’s kept things swinging by introducing our live entertainment including The Victory Belles, The Back Porch Stompers, Dance Quarter's performers, and The Doc Holliday Band as well as crowning our Best Dressed Guy and Gal of the night.
But the hopping good times didn’t stop there. Magnolia Makeup painted sparkly lips on our guests to get snapped in the Big Easy Photobooth while others opted for a poem from our Poet for Hire Shawna Marie Beasley. For the guests looking for an authentic WWII experience, there was the museum’s “Final Mission: The USS Tang Submarine Experience.” This interactive experience incorporated sound, motion and digital graphics that gave our guests a taste of the conditions and realities of submarine warfare.
Documenting the night was Liz Daino of Liz Daino Photography and Alex Harvie, who live painted the event and gave half the proceeds to Grow Dat Youth Farm, our non-profit of the night that received nearly $4,000 in donations to further their mission of cultivating young leaders through the meaningful work of growing food. Hooray for a great party with a purpose! Relive the glory through our highly decorated reviews or step back in time by checking out our fabulous photos.
Last Saturday Yelp Milan enjoyed its first official Yelper Party, in order to celebrate 10 years of Yelp and the Yelp Awards. It was a great occasion to spend some time together with business owners, as well as a funny, emotional and relaxed event for Elites before summer holidays. We tasted fresh cheeses, goose products, artisanal beers and hand made food, all from Lumbardy, and with the help of the Iberitalian team we had a wondrous ceremony for Yelp Awards, inviting more than 60 local business owners, plus 150 Yelpers. If you haven't been there... well, nothing will be the same, but you can have a look at the pics here and read the reviews at this link!
Edmonton Yelpers were invited out to attend the annual Yelper Party, Yelp's Ultimate Science Fair at the Telus World of Science Edmonton on June 26, sponsored by Lexus Of Edmonton. This celebration of locally owened businesses in the Capital Area came with full access to all the amazing exhibits at Edmonton’s Science Centre - including Canada's newest IMAX. Yelpers got to see science in action and take part in featured fun like at fire karaoke, hoverboard races, a human gyroscope and Van de graaf machine. Friendly and feirce Yelp ambassadors greeted all of the guests, and with a $10 donation Yelpers were entered into draws for fantastic prizes and raised over $3500 for local Etown NPO, Sports Central. There was plenty of food and drinks from 20 different restaurants, 2 food trucks, 4 breweries and the frozen night club; which kept everyone’s stomachs and taste buds happy. It was Friday the 13th, and some 700 Yelpers donned their best super hero, villain and comic book character costumes to make way to the Children's Museum of Houston and Pley With Yelp – The Sequel! There were more than 20 local businesses and sponsors on the scene engaging with Yelpers, all for a good cause. We raised more than $5400 for the Children's Museum of Houston. The RSVPs for the third installment of Yelp Spring Break were through the roof this year and we couldn't have been happier to host some of our most Funny, Useful, Cool, and fun Yelp Elites in Nashville from May 8th - May 11th. OMG, what an evening! Pin Up and Rockabilly Yelpers were coming out from every corner from Valencia. Ribbons, colourful dresses, peep-toes, hearts and dots all around plus swing live music gave the party the essence of vintage. Place was just the perfect… place? and venue for such and amazing night were 100 guests could experience the taste of valencian products: wines, vermouths, mistela, crafts beer, best burguers ever and cupcakes, as the cherry on top.
What about having a cocktail show? We had an incredible bartender and spirit bottles flying around, while lindy hop dancers gave their best to complete our own Bettie Page night! Read all the reviews of the event here and see all the fabulous photos on the Flickr page.
This past Saturday, the community came together to celebrate our most beloved food producers at The Lodge --- a gorgeous two-story restaurant and bar. Chef Todd Lesakowski and his staff used ingredients provided by T-Meadow, Plato Dale, Dan Tower and Native Offerings Farm along with oyster mushrooms from Boston Valley Gourmet to concoct creative tasting dishes for almost 300 guests. The Mountain Run joined us for a killer set of bluegrass (which included a bluegrass cover of Radiohead’s High and Dry) as guests enjoyed and sipped samples of Lockhouse Distillery Vodka and Brooklyn Brewery beer. Read all the reviews of the event here and see all the fabulous photos on the Flickr page.
Blssed with perfect weather for our Road Trip weekend, Yelpers from both Seattle and Portland packed into Eques for an equally perfect brunch event. Before they could even get through the door, Elite members were offered a choice of Mimosa or champagne as they waited outside for the event to star. Once inside, the drinks still poured! Tacked onto the liquid list was an endless supply Bloody Mary's courtesy of the do-it-yourself garnish bar. Also set up were various buffet-style sampling stations featuring blurberry stuffed French toast, Eggs Benedict, and more. But don't let us spoil for you! Want to see how it all went down? Check out what the Elite Squad had to say in their reviews of the event here.
On a Thursday night, nearly 40 Lexingtonian Yelpers braved the snow and ice and were treated to so many mouthwatering samples, that no one went away hungry. Chef Brian told about the history of Doodles and the food that it serves. We all went away with a new view and appreciation of this true farm to table restaurant. This was our first Official Event and it couldn't have went any better. Read all the reviews of the event here and check out all the fantastic photos on the Flickr page.
