Yelp Gets Schooled In Homebrewing

Tasting the sticky syrup
On Wednesday evening, an intimate group of Elites and guests, way too cool for everyday school, gathered at the off-the-beaten path North Shore Brewing Supply for the North Shore's very first Yelp Gets Schooled event. Classmates learned what's involved in making a basic homebrew and tasted all the ingredients that go into making it. From sticky malt to the grains, the hands-on class brewed up a batch of cream ale right on the spot. The night included raffle prizes, beer tastings and pizza, and of course everyone left with a bottle of brew. Guests were invited to come back in three weeks to taste what they actually made. The learning for the night? Don't fear the foam! Read the reviews of the event here and see all the fabulous photos on the Flickr page.

Special thanks to our generous host and sponsor!
