Sunday Bloody Sunday!

The only thing we ever want on a Sunday is some sunshine, some tasty grub, a comfortable spot to relax with friends, and one of the best bloody marys in Brooklyn. Splitty can't control the weather, but they can definitely help you out with all the rest! This new Myrtle Ave watering hole (from the fine folks behind Pete's Candy Store) is offering up a dream of a local bar: amazing music, a casual vibe, great food and drink. And this past Sunday, they opened the doors to the Yelp Elite Squad for a Sunday Funday that everyone could enjoy. Using the always excellent Tito's Handmade Vodka, Rob, Andy & Co. were pouring wasabi, watermelon, and classic bloodys that were delicious with just the right amount of spice. With Ace Pear Cider on hand as well, it was easy to start the party; be sure to peep the reviews and photos for a tasty lil' rewind, and read on if you dare.

According to Vicki L, "Splitty was the perfect venue on this lovely, surprisingly sunny Sunday afternoon." With board games galore, she can "definitely imagine coming back here on another night with some friends for some drunken jenga (cuz i mean, put the word "drunken" in front of any game and it's automatically 10x more fun, amiright?)." You're right, Vicki.

And what better way to get loose than everyone's favorite, Tito's Handmade Vodka? It goes down so smooth (with a little spice) in Splitty's signature Bloody Mary. These brunch favorites are legit, and if you need a little twist check out the wasabi and watermelon options. If spice isn't your style, Nadia Z swears that Ace's "refreshing pear cider hit the spot. Not too strong, not too sweet, just what you would want on sunny day like this one!"

If you're expecting the same old boring bar eats (wings, fries, etc.), you're in the wrong spot because Splitty is slanging the tastiest baos around. Many folks were partial to the pastrami with its meaty magnificence, but Ingrid insists "the Poblano Kale and Potato bun had just the right amount of heat and savory goodness."

All in all, it was a Sunday Funday to remember. As Kristia B says, "You can't beat a sunny day in winter, making new friends over a game of Apples to Apples, and trying a Bloody Mary for the first time." A huge thanks to Andy, Rob and the rest of the Splitty staff for such an awesome time. Check out the photos and the reviews, and we'll see you over there soon!

Cheers,
