Gringo Grill and Cantina (formerly Miguel's at La Posada) opened its doors and patio to Tucson yelpers for an exquisite experience. We enjoyed cocktail hour with a classic Arizona sunset in the company of the general management, who graciously mixed and mingled with guests and made everyone feel at home. Yelpers sipped on local wine (Arizona Stronghold), brews (Four Peaks), margaritas and savored an array of hors d'oeuvres, from Sonoran burger sliders to ceviche shots and bacon wrapped dates. After sunset we made our way into the dining room where giant molcajetes of guacamole and salsa served as delicious center pieces at each table. Guests were treated to an indulgent taste of their menu with a choice of an entree and sides ranging from Soooweee rubbed pork tenderloin to Grilled Salmon with a meyer lemon salsa, enchiladas and decadent sides like mac n cheese, Sonoran fries, white bean cassoulet and more! It only made sense to cap off this savory night on a super sweet note. Dessert included a duo of bread pudding with a cream cheese gelato and house made tres leches cake. As a special parting gift, all guests received a complimentary house-made rub, courtesy of Chef Scott and a coupon for a future visit! A free one night stay with dinner for two and a gift certificate for dinner were also awarded to our lucky prize winners. Thank you to the entire team at Gringo for a stellar night!
