2013 was a year of years. The Yelp Miami Elite Squad took it to the street. They lived their lives like they were golden. They had the blues. And, they even walked the gridiron with aquatic mammals. Were they up for one last bash? When the venue is Bâoli Miami, you better believe the answer was a resounding ‘yes!’ There was an American Riviera Holiday to celebrate and Elites came out en masse to do so.
Before the party got started, engaged Elites recalled there was a reason to the season. Goodwill toward men is more than a holiday slogan for the Ronald McDonald House of South Florida — it’s a way of life. And, as the event charity partner, Elites showed them the love by donating items from the RMH Wish List and money to the Share A Night program — in all, over $3600 worth of charitable goods! Good deeds make for a healthy appetite. Thankfully, Baoli was on hand to give a taste of the South of France via Tuna Tartare on Asian Spoon; Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Shaved Reggiano Parmigiano and Arugula; Asian Soba Noodle with Pan Roasted Vegetables; Black Olive tapenade over white bread canapé; Mini-triangle spinach spanakopita; Roma tomato and fresh basil bruschetta; Vegetable spring rolls with spicy chili sauce; and Atlantic smoke salmon with mascarpone capers.
But, it’s not the American Riviera without something fabulous on which to sip. And, it’s the holidays; do it up big! Guests had the option of sipping Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Grenache from Central Coast Wine & Food, drinking the expert craft brews of Lagunitas Brewery, or enjoying the signature Christmas Jones (vodka with raspberry puree) cocktail from Lucky Player Vodka. If those weren’t choices enough, Lucky Player also offered shots of cotton candy or lemon meringue vodka to warm hearts and free minds.
Even with all that going on, there was still more to experience. Yelp paparazzo Alex H snapped glamor shot after glamor shot along the step & repeat while Janu Mendel captured the candid fun. Elites tried their luck at the roulette table under the sexy white and red lights of the Bâoli courtyard while Can Can dancer Lisa Sakowitz thrilled guests with high kicks and leaps that would have been right at home at the Moulin Rouge. It’s true! Read reviews here. 2013 was been a heckuva ride for Yelp Miami. Hope you rested up over the break; 2014 is picking up right where 2013 left off.
