On Monday night, Yelp Philadelphia's Elite Squad gathered for the final event of the year, Yelp's Festivus at Fergie's. The Irish Pub closed their doors to the public and opened up both floors for seventy-five of Yelp Philly's finest.
A delicious spread of "both vegetarian and regular wings… shepherd's pie and two types of chili: vegetarian and brisket" greeted Shannon C. Meanwhile, Sixpoint brews and Clique Vodka spiced cosmos went down easy.
But "the best part" of the night, according to Colleen M: "Yelp karaoke, a live band to accompany them, and a really genuine staff of awesome bartenders to help us really enjoy the evening!" Yes, you read that right: live band karaoke! Not known for being shy, Elites rocked the mic well past the official end time of the event.
Keeping with tradition, we once again partnered up with a local organization to spread some holiday cheer. This year, we joined forces with the Philadelphia chapter of the Ronald McDonald House to collect toys, monetary donations and other much-needed items for the families that require this very important service. Many thanks to the volunteers who were on hand at the event to help with this effort!
If you missed this event, be sure to catch up on the chit chat, the reviews and the photos. Not part of the Elite Squad? Check out what it means to be Elite and, if you think you've got the stuff, nominate yourself for 2014 here!
Thanks again to the fine folks at Fergie's Pub, our fabulous sponsors, volunteers, Yelptern Enid C, Brand Ambassador Drew A and, last but not least, the Yelp Philadelphia 2013 Elite Squad for a wonderful night to end a great year!
Until next year, happy holidays!
