December has been good to Elite Yelpers in Tampa Bay, bringing us TWO events to write home about (Check out the other one here!). On Tuesday, November 10, Mitchell’s Fish Market hosted Yelp Nerds Out! We pulled out our protractors, hitched up our socks, and wrapped some tape around our glasses in preparation for a nerdy night!
Nick S notes, "This was really an amazing experience. It was like the Office Christmas Party I've always dreamed of... without any of the drama and with lots of friendly and enthusiastic Yelpers. I can honestly say that I plan on coming back to Mitchell's soon. I was very impressed!"
Cassie P tells us, "I was impressed with the generosity of Mitchell's – there were A LOT of people at this event."And then there was the food. Nothing nerdy about these selections! Grace C raves, “My favorites of the night were the pretzel bread with beer cheese, crab cake, and desserts. The pretzel bread was perfectly soft on the inside, and a little hard on the outside. I could have eaten the entire plate but tried to pace myself for the rest of the night.”
Michael Z, meanwhile, was impressed with “customized tasting portions as well as the creative cocktails – delicious all around. Personally, the blackberry agave margarita and blackened shrimp with diced sweet potatoes were my favorites, but I certainly didn't push any of the other offerings away!”
Michelle M also enjoyed “the generous, huge selection of food and cocktails. I loved the Crushed Blackberry Agave Margarita. This fruity cocktail was tart and sweet and packed a mean punch of tequila! The crab cakes were great, and I loved the corn salsa that accompanied this dish. The blackened shrimp with sweet potato hash was out of the world! I loved how the spicy shrimp paired so well with the sweetness of the hash. I couldn't say no to the key lime pie bite - worth every calorie! So good!”
Karen F was all about the company: "Meeting and hanging out with other Yelpers was really the highlight of the night for me. Nice to be able to meet 'friends' that previously I only knew through their reviews. Excellent event from start to finish, and I can't wait to return to Mitchell's Fish Market for dinner!"
Thanks, Mitchell's Fish Market, for hosting one heck of a night for these Yelpin' nerds. Be sure to take a peek at the photos over on Flickr and check out Gerardo Luna Photographs on Yelp! As always, the biggest THANK YOU of all goes out to the Tampa Bay Yelpers, without whom we would have been forced to eat ALL the food ourselves. On second thought... (just kidding, we love to share!)Until next time, Happy Yelping!
