Connecticut Gets Merry at Yelp's Holiday Bazaar

Posted by Emily

On Saturday night, 400 yelpers showed their local love at the New Britain Museum of American Art for Yelp Hartford's first Holiday Bazaar. With breathtaking art galleries as the backdrop, attendees shopped for the holidays and sampled from 40+ local artisans, restaurants, breweries, distilleries and more. Thank you to the NBMAA for hosting us in such an amazing space, and to the attendees who donated more than $2,000 to the museum.

According to Freesia S, “From the art exhibits to the handmade jewelry and crafts for sale, to the vendors giving out tasty samples, to running into long-lost friends, the museum was the perfect place to host an event like this, and I felt like there was a new adventure at every turn.” Anna E gravitated towards the “seriously scrumptious mini cupcakes” from NoRa Cupcake “in flavors like Irish Car Bomb, Red Velvet and Boston Crème,” while her “favorite sips of the night were the Father Christmas Highland Ale from Olde Burnside Brewing (give me all the Christmas ale ya got).”

“Apart from the spectacular venue and vendors,” Nova G recalls, “the performances were excellent. The fashion show and snippet from The Nutcracker were the perfect end to the evening. Oh, and let's not forget the thrilling rendition of No Diggity by the Hartford Hot Several.” Laura F concurs “I need more moments in my life where a marching band just comes out of nowhere.” Don’t we all!
