Yelp's Bohemian Bash @ The Acre Orlando

Posted by Colleen Burns

Orlando Yelpers submerged themselves into a Sunday Funday at The Acre to party with Yelp friends and a variety of local businesses; all benefiting a great cause: The Harbor House of Central Florida. Our community came together and raised over $3,000 for this fabulous local organization that seeks to eliminate domestic violence in Central Florida by providing safety, shelter, empowerment, education and justice.

The Acre is the event space you never new existed, mainly because there truly is nothing else like it in Florida and the Yelp community had the opportunity to check out each and every nook of this perfect combination of outdoor rustic charm and whimsical feel, which laid the ultimate background for our Bohemian Bash!

Upon entering the local oasis, Yelpers were greeted with a check-in deal to grab a commemorative Bohemian Bash mug to enjoy libations from during the event and to take home and keep as a memory. Cocktails Catering rocked concotions made with Tito's Handmade Vodka and offered a variety of Cigar City Brewing beers thanks to Brown Distributing

In the front house, boasting a shabby chic feel, Xclusive Nail Bar & Spa offered hand massages and fabulous nail art on the porch. Inside, Barnie's CoffeeKitchen showed us how to make the finest coffee, Peterbrooke Chocolatier of Winter Park had a cascading chocolate fountain and an array of sweets, Balance Masage and Structural Bodywork provided relaxation with chair massages and The Bohemian Baker filled the room with smiles and delicious savory & sweet treats!

Right outside, Winter Park Distilling was awaiting to treat everyone to their Bear Gully Classic Whiskey apple cider with seasonal spices. KIND Healthy Snacks treated the Yelpers to and array of their bars made from all-natural whole nuts, fruits and whole grains. Sleeping Moon Café had an eclectic setup just like their shop in Winter Park and served some goodies from their spot.

Adding to the relxation of the venue and lending itself to our theme, local hand made Banana Hammock Republic was set up for Yelpers to kick-back and relax... vertical style. The lovely, Danielle Hein Art graced the entire venue with small and large pieces from her collection where she explores the polarizing themes of photorealistic portraiture and abstract paint "pouring." Yelpers were treated to complimentary issues of Orlando Style, boasting the luxury lifestyle of The City Beautiful.

A true bash is not complete without a spread of Orlando's most ecelectic performers, singers and dancers representing their energy. Fun times!! Loved Tiffany from Alchemist :)

How did I not know about this blog before?!

Thanks for everything!

This was my first Yelp event, and boy was I impressed! It had everything, food, drinks, entertainment, pampering and for this to all be free was just amazing to me. I gladly donated my $10 to Harbor House, and I bet you could ask for double that amount and people would think it was worth it! Can't wait for the next event.
