It was a night to remember at Royal India, filled with a spicy and sexy feast, color, music, dancing, a little bit of fire-eating and of course, food! The owners created a custom ten course menu featuring unique dishes straight from their mothers recipe book for this sit down spread. Greater SD Elites shared this flavorful meal at communal tables and felt just like family!
The Northern Indian style cuisine was cooked perfectly with flare by Royal India's highly trained staff. It was a sit down affair, everyone being served. Royal India uses the highest quality ingredients, including hand crushed spices! Starter items included a subtle sweet Mango Soup followed by Shrimp and Paneer Pakora. The main courses stuffed us full of Chicken Garlic Kebab, Fish Coconut Pineapple, Bengan Bhartha, Lamb Ginger Tamarind and Peas Pulao served with Kabuli (Coconut Raisin) and Garlic Nan. For dessert? A smooth and rich Shahi Mango pudding with fruit.
Throughout our meal the waitstaff was on point, keeping our glasses full of sangria, brews, wine, chai tea and fruity perfect Mango Lassi. The beautiful restaurant made us feel like we'd been transported. The Sitar player set the mood perfectly while he strummed into our hearts. Belly-dancer Tarciana kicked the spicy night up a notch with sword balancing, fire-eating and hip action performances: Between bites Yelp Elites clapped and raved for the perfect entertainment!
Thanks to the gracious owners Jag & Sam Kambo for being amazing hosts! Kudos to the staff and entertainment, and our appreciation to all the Elites who were able to attend.
