Yelp's Zoo Boo
Yelp Tampa Bay turned October's Elite event into a spooky sensation by sending Yelpers to Lowry Park Zoo for Zoo Boo! With front-of-the-line passes, custom food and beverage samples, and a family-friendly scary setting, Halloween was in the air during Yelp's Zoo Boo on Friday evening. Melissa Z calls the night "fantastic in every imaginable way! Yelpers had their own separate access to the zoo entrance, bypassing a very long line of people waiting to get in." On top of the VIP treatment, "the whole park was decorated in high Halloween fashion, with adorable lighted displays." Some corners of the zoo were creepier than others! "The 7-skull rated house, Wake the Dead, was actually pretty scary," Kerry J confesses. "It was so dark in there at points, which added to the spook factor." Mark H enjoyed other perks, sharing, "Zoo Express passes were a nice touch because we got to skip past long lines for the haunted houses. He adds, "Very cool to always meet new people at Yelp events." Lauren C shares, "In Reilly's Reserve, fantastic food, beer and wine awaited us." At the bar, "the chili beer was by far the most interesting I've ever had." Nikki A was a fan of the "Chili Devil Beer (each bottle came with a Serrano pepper floating in it to give it an extra kick) and the Queen of the Night Pale Ale (October goodness!)." Meanwhile, Marinda H equally enjoyed ""cool fall ciders and the 'evil' chili pepper beer." She notes that the "food was adorable – mini Halloween themed edibles. Shepard's pie cauldrons, toasted cheese sandwiches and 'bloody' tomato soup were great." Ameesh P adds, "The pumpkin ravioli were amazing, and the pumpkin whoopee pie was the perfect sweet treat to go along with all of the other creations."Thank you to Lowry Park Zoo for hosting Yelp Tampa Bay at Zoo Boo – it was a ROARing good time! As always, thank you to the amazing and inventive Gerardo Luna Photography for capturing the festivities on film. See the rest of the spoooky photos over on Flickr. Interested in becoming Elite?
