Yelp's Small Small Bar Crawl
Upon arrival, guests were kitted out with a goodie bag slash bar crawl survival pack, complete with emergency poncho, shot glass, bottle opener, stubby holder, mints, sweat band, and a couple of bottles of NOHO Hangover Defence. Bang one of these bad boys down before you drink, another before you go to bed and bam! Bye bye hangover.
First stop was Uncle Ming’s, a secret Chinese bar hidden behind an underground suit shop. Amongst tea light candles and posters of vintage Asian pin-up girls Yelpers tucked into bowls of edamame sprinkled with rock salt and bottles of delicious Aguila Cerveza, Colombia’s #1 selling beer, before it launches in Australia.
Second stop was The S.G., where owner Jason brought out bowls of spiced Nutri-grain (So. Much. Win) while Yelpers played Atari and checked out the street art adorning the walls. Grace from Milagro Tequila dished out Mayan Mule cocktails before breaking out the Select Barrel Reserve Reposado and lining up an army of shots at the bar, all served in vintage glasses to boot.
Last stop was Since I Left You, where owners Nick & Elvis busted out matching shirts for the occasion and brought out their famous house-made guacamole, followed by a cavalcade of smoked wagyu, caramalised onion & gruyere toasties to cure the drunk munchies.
As always, thanks to Sam Macdonald Photography for the snaps. Want more?
