Yelp's Indian(a) Nights at Spice Nation!
Five-star Indian restaurant, Spice Nation, rolled out all the stops for Indy's Elite Squad Wednesday night by bringing their vegetarian buffet to the p.m. hours! But, before diving in to the feast, Yelpers started off across the hall at Sai's Boutique & Gifts to try on saris, bindis and bangles with Solar Flare Photography behind the camera! In the words of Yelper Julia C: "I don't think girls ever grow out of playing dress up. and I really love all the beautiful saris that we were able to dress up in. Oh, and thank you for the bracelets! I'm going to stop in sometime soon to buy my own sari."
You can always count on Cultural Cannibals to create just the right vibe for any party. Holly G gushes, "The Bollywood music by Cultural Cannibals was a really nice touch and added a lot to the atmosphere of the evening. Thanks to Mendhi by Janni, elites went home with intricate henna designs that added a little bedazzle to Thursday morning at the office. Henna virgin, Sarah C wrote "this is the first time I'd ever received such body art and I was a bit shocked when she told us that it would last for nearly two weeks. As I'm typing now, I can't help but stare at my hand."
Last, but definitely not least - the eats! Sara C lends some delicious advice: "Leave your inhibitions at the door with this place. Allow yourself to try new things - foods you can't pronounce, can't recognize or are unsure of. Just let go and TRY. You'd be surprised with what you're about to eat at Spice Nation!" From dosas and vegan chai to galub jamon and mint chutney, the party nearly had to roll its way home.
