A little rain didn't stop over 120 Yelp Elites from missing out Dallas' August Yelp Elite Event centered around Palomino Restaurant & Bar's exclusive new small plate menu. On Tuesday evening, August 13, Yelp Elites piled into the spacious private area of the restaurant's swanky interior tucked away in Uptown Dallas' Rosewood Crescent Hotel.
The menu consisted of chop chop salad, truffle deviled eggs, tomato basil bruschetta, curried chickpea fritters, crab artichoke dip, and a variety of flatbreads. Don't let the event name fool you, this small plate shindig was anything but small. The portions were montrous! "Palomino was gracious enough to provide us with huge (that's an understatement) plates where we could REALLY get a helping of all the food we wanted to try!" notes an appreciative Elizabeth N.
Of course all the delectable dishes required some washing down, and guests were offered an endless supply of free-flowing red and white wine to accompany the food menu.
Guests mixed n' mingled and broke out of their comfort zones to meet new faces thanks to the "Find A Yelper Bingo" icebreaker. "It was a pleasure meeting many new people and saying hello to some familiar faces." Elite Yelper Roni B "even ran into one of her classmates she had not seen since graduation 16 years ago....Uh Oh!"
"Palomino is Jimmy-Lee B's new go-to place for high end food, as well as their complete brunch." He and his fellow Elites give a "special thanks to the staff and restaurant patrons for allowing the squad to take over this 5-star restaurant."
The 5-star reviews are already pilling in, so feel free to add your own recap to the event's business listing as well. As always, it was a pleasure seeing the lovely faces that make up Yelp Dallas. Elites, keep your eyes peeled for the next one....
and until then SYOY (See You On Yelp)!
