Yelpers enjoyed a fun evening full of booze, bites, and beats in
the Social Club's new beer garden in downtown Petaluma. Attendees were
treated to tasty bites from the kitchen, including: deviled eggs, mac n'
and perhaps the largest meatballs the North Bay has ever seen.
Guests washed it all down with pints of Redd's Apple Ale while listening to folksy music by Incubator Duo.
Judging by the rave reviews, Social Club's beer garden is a welcome addition to P-Town's lively food/bar scene. Check out the party photos courtesy of the lovely and talented Shannon Warf.

Yelp Cincy's Swanky Sixties Dinner Party was one for the record books. There were hors d'ouvres, old school cocktails, and a three course steak dinner in the formal dining room. What more could you ask for?
"We stepped back in time in our 60's Swanky Sixties attire and the evening began with an array of vintage inspired cocktails including the Blackberry Sidecar, Sazerac, Moscow Mule's and Karen D's favorite? The "Ruby Red Greyhound with pink grapefruit vodka, St. Germain and lime juice."
Yelpers then mingled while munchin on delicious hors d'ouvres like "Warm Crab bites, Fresh Summer Bruschetta, and Smoked Salmon on a cucumber round." Danae B shares, "All were very good, the salmon on the cucumber was so refreshing and the bruschetta was amazingly fresh!"
The Yelp elites then made their way up to gorgoues formal dining and were seated with custom name tags, swanky menus, and tons of class to boot!
The first course was a delcious Steak House Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette.
After a few rounds of liquid courage, the Yelpers shared one interesting fact about themselves, and the tispy tweeting began! This 20 person dinner party "turned out to be a really nice intimate setting and I really enjoyed getting to know more about my fellow Yelpers!" - Nate S
For the second course Yelpers got to choose from a Petite Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Stuffed Chicken Breast, or Salmon. Needles to say, we all went with the Filet...
"Twenty juicy steaks came out sizzling! If this were Iron Chef, butter was the not-so-secret ingredient. Each cut was so tender and mouthwatering, but I swear the sweet potato casserole almost stole the show!" - Elaine W
Dawn P shares, "Everything from the craft cocktails to the melt-in-your-mouth filet was so delicious and perfectly made. The service was on point all night, both downstairs during happy hour and upstairs during our dining experience." Hats off to the chef!
For dessert Yelpers chose from Bread Pudding with Whisky Sauce or Fresh Berries with Sweet Cream. Both were insanely delicious and worth every bite!
After we were full and stuffed to the brim, the ever-so-handsome General Manager Shawn Gardner, awarded Erin awarded a $50 Gift Card for her super swanky best dressed outfit! Angela C admits "it was super fun to dress up Mad Men style" and it totally made the night!
Chelsea C "was stoked to finally find out the mystery of the tounge twister that is 'Ruth's Chris' after watching a great video on how Ruth's Chris got it's start. What an inspiring story! It explains why the staff here are so proud to work at this organization and why the level of service here is heads above the rest. Thanks for an amazing night!"

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale. Yelpers flocked to Rowes Wharf this weather-wacky Monday evening for a night of floating, feasting and... Pirate Karrraoke? Smear on the sunblock and soak up the fun aboard Yelp's Midsummer Odyssey! The harbor didn't know what hit it.
Nearly 500 Yelpers flooded four decks of debauchery aboard the newly renovated Odyssey entertainment cruise ship. From the moment they stepped on board, guests were met with a full dinner buffet along with roaming hors d'oeuvres, courtesy of the Odyssey's galley and "oh-so-sweet" staff (so sez Megan H). For those not sated by the endless spread, the Scoop Deck sampled local snackables from Q's Nuts, Taza Chocolate and Alex B's new drug of choice: Corn & Co. "That was popcorn crack if I have ever seen it."
Specialty cocktails powered by Onyx Spirits and Ipswich's own Privateer Rum kept each deck lively, and cocktail connosseiurs discovered every bar (there were five total) featured a different specialty drink. Ben L only needed one, taking "the occasional moment to refill on my Onyx Sour – I have a new favorite moonshine." Barons of the barrels found four local beers (Yuka Y "felt like being in a brewery tour again!") from Down The Road tapped in the Brew Brig, while grape escaped went off the vine, sipping daintily on Still River's apple ice wine. Of course, we're all about Team Hydrate, which meant plenty of Hint essenced water, IZZE sparkling juices and Runa guayusa teas.
It's not all just food and booze, folks. Jennifer S watched "new friends sing their hearts out" at Pirate Karrrrraoke, courtesy of Gorham Productions. The Mark Greel Band rocked the first deck, while those looking for a low-key escape relaxed on high in the Admiral's Lounge with sweet beats by DJ Ryan Brown. If the lapping waves, fine tunes and cool, cool beverages weren't enough, The Danger Booth snapped all sorts of shakey-cheek duck facing en frame while Pretty Instant roamed the boat, capturing your nauti antics for social photos-a-go-go and live streaming to the Odyssey's TVs. We're living in the future!
Did we mention Boston Derby Damesea creature sightings (oh, the Arkham Horrors!), pop-up hair feathering from Fast Phil's, and the complimentary rides from Uber? Well, there ya go. Last year, North invited Tucson Yelp Elite for an exclusive preview of their new dinner menu and updated digs. Over the weekend, we did it again! This time Yelp Elites woke up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for Yelp's Rise and Dine Brunch to sample a lavish family-style spread of brunch entrées. Grazie to the gracious staff and culinary team at North for an amazing experience!
Mini Yogurt Parfaits. Astonishingly delicous baked French Toast. Short Rib Hash with Sunny Side Up Eggs, Veggie Scramble. Decadentbreakfast Donuts. North went above and beyond. "From the attentive service to a thorough explanation of the food prep, I was blown away throughout the (5 course!) meal," exclaims Jide F. Yeeps also indulged in a "sparkling breakfast shandy with an Italian lager and pomegranate seeds and ultra fresh mimosas," served with orange juice freshly squeezed on site! Tiffany S plans on "on bringing the fam back for some breakfast grande."
But the decadence didn't end there. Yelpers got in on the some culinary action with a DIY breakfast donut demonstration with Chef Carlos!Amanda D sums it up perfectly: "Oh the donuts...what a perfect way to end our brunch. The donuts are the way I want to end every future brunch I have at North! Cream on the inside with lemon curd on the outside. Oh my!"
Every single bite was worth the early morning wake up call. "Not only was this a wonderful event, it was the best brunch I've ever had in Tucson," Yelps Trevor C. We couldn't agree more! And just as we thought North outdid themselves, they surprised us one more time! Each guest was gifted their own jar of Apricot Mostarda (Italian condiment for cheeses and meats) to enjoy at home! Yelpers had a chance to win gift cards with North's Instagram Instaprize photo challenge. Lucky yelpers: Trevor C, Isabel K, Christy F and Sylvia M all went home with gift cards!
An enormous thank you to North for a phenomenal feast, Chef Carlos for spending the morning with us, and the cheerful staff that went above and beyond in every way.
Forget Jiro. There was only one King of Sushi in the house on Monday, and that was Jason of J2 Grill & Sushi. "It may be partly the shine in his eyes that intensifies when he talks about it, or the level of detail that trips effortlessly from his tongue, that leads you to imagine that Jason is to sushi what Cassius Clay was to boxing: made for it. And not afraid to pack a punch." Thank you Ciara C. Couldn't have put it better ourselves.
Just what made this night stand out? Well here was the loose leaf green tea that J2 staff greeted guests with, served from beautiful glass teapots. Then the lesson in how to cook the perfect rice (massage and love is key!), and how to create your own flavours of soy sauce as the restaurant does - from honey sweet to chili hot. "This food was something to get excited about. Everything from the lightly battered asparagus to the different homemade soy sauces, the sushi, aloe vera juice, green tea, all of it!"-Elisha C
We had tea, we had rice, we had raw and cooked samples, we had miso soup. Each little bit put together entirely freshley and from scratch, as is always the case in this restaurant. Guests relaxed in the fabulous glass box with the killer view of the river Liffey and stealed themselves for the 'main'. As Mark H said; 'Towards the end I was no longer hungry but I had to keep eating, the food was just that good.'
And finally, the sake ceremony for some tradition. Followed by a spectacular break in tradition when guests were served with green tea cheese cake and chocolate brownies (plus a sushi bear keyring!) "I was secretly hoping to get something with green tea and boy was I served! The green tea cheesecake would be reason enough to go back!" According to Emilie A; "It was absolutely amazing, drives me insane just thinking about it!"

As the sun was sitting over the city, the Yelp Community
donned on their bathing suits and high heels for Yelp’s Summer Splash &
Dash Under City Lights at the Hotel Palomar. Between the pool time on the
rooftop and striking a pose in the photo booth, to getting balloon hats made
while rockin’ out on Guitar Hero from Gypsy Bar, it was a night not to be
Elites were greeted with a special Yelp floatie to use as a
flotation device during the party. After checking in on their Yelp mobile app
and redeeming their check-in offer for a free high five, they found a
lounge chair and enjoyed the music spun by DJ Sterling.
In between cannonballs, Yelpers enjoyed a buffet of food
from Lustre that included sliders, hummus, fruit kabobs, pizza and more.
Luckily Tanqueray Gin and Don Julio cocktails were on hand to help the Yelpers
wash down the delicious food.
Halfway through the night, the Yelpers were surprised with a
stand up comedy performance from Stand Up Live while Dizzie Ramsey created
shapes and hats of all sizes with his balloon skills. To capture the memories,
Yelpers stepped inside the Social Chimp photo booth or struck a pose with Mike
Before the Yelpers called it a night, they grabbed a goodie
bag filled with coupons for businesses in CityScape and everyone also left with
discount cards that invite the Yelp Community back to the Hotel Palomar, Blue
Hound and Lustre for a special Yelp price.

taps, Dancing Marlin had the sea of Chicagoland Elites hooked at Yelp's Fare Share at Dancing Marlin.
Over the course of 2-hours, 80 Elites drank over 160 cocktails, and shared over 260 plates, including such notable nosh as:
Fried Kale (Tuscan Kale fried in Olive Oil, dusted w/ Truffle Salt and topped with Parmesan Cheese) "The fried kale was delicious. I didn't even have to bargain with the BF like I normally do when it comes to vegetables." ~ Melissa B

first time I've tried fried green tomatoes, and I think it may become an

Let it not be said that there’s no jaw-dropping Asian fare
to be found in Miami. All one has to do is take a trip to find it. ‘Trip’ like
passports and airfare? Not this time. The only physical travel involved getting
to Lincoln Road and walking into Khong River House. Starstruck members of the
Yelp Miami Elite Squad learned this first-hand when they entered into a
culinary journey down the Mekong River for Yelp’s Khong Day Journey Into Night.
While breakfast might not be the first meal you associate
with northern Thai cuisine, it’s safe to say that after this event you’ll be
eager to start your day with papaya salad, mini coconut & sesame pancakes served with Mekong
rum punch, taro
root hash topped with poached egg & Thai hollandaise,
grilled pineapple skewers, and rotisserie
pork belly buns. And who needs OJ and coffee when there’s Cava
with guava, lychee or mangosteen & A Very Thai Bloody Mary
Lunchtime got an upgrade. Why? How? Banh Mi Bites (pork
rillettes and grilled tofu) and Burmese
Egg Noodle with Local Vegetable are a good start. Rotisserie
chicken buns with kai soi curry and house-made pickles kept the momentum going
and Thai Iced Tea & Singha Beer
made sure that a post-recess nap was in the future for the thrilled guests.
But there was no time to sleep; dinner was upon this
road-tasted crew of urban adventurers.
Stretched bellies were the perfect match for Famous Thai Fried Chicken Bites,
Burmese Fresh Noodle Wraps,
Korat Beef Jerky, House-made Chiang Rai Sausage,
and Slow-cooked Whole
Pork Leg with fresh steamed buns. The evening hour (meal)
called for cocktails and Khong answered with the Killer B (gin, lemon,
chili syrup) & The
Stone Cold Rocky (Gin, apricot liqueur, lemon, and bitter lemon
soda) made with Farmer's Organic Gin.
Who can go without dessert? Not these Elites. Luckily, there
was plenty of Thai Donuts with
assorted dipping sauces, Mini Chocolate Trifles, Guava Jellies, and Petit Fours
to keep sweet teeth sated. But the sweetest part of the evening was hearing
from the dynamic duo who made these spectacular eats possible: Chef Cristian
and Mama Pai.
It was an evening of culinary travel, exploration, fun,
music — and confession. Soul-baring Elites wrote down their most private
confessions or hoped-for dreams on paddles and laid them upon the wall for the
world to see and universe to handle. Intrepid photographer Alex H took all the
shots you want to see here. Elated Elites penned ecstatic reviews here. Being a
tourist in your own city has never been so fulfilling.
Es war also soweit. An einem eigentlich herrlich warmen Sommertag, der abends wunderbar mit einem Schauer abkühlte, war die Yelp Elite in Zürich im Haus Hiltl zu einer Vegi Sommernacht eingeladen. Das älteste vegetarische Restaurant Europas wird bereits in der vierten Generation geführt - und hatte uns so im altehrwürigen Haus im Herzen Zürichs so einiges zu zeigen und zu berichten. Seit 1898 sind die Pforten des Vegi - wie die Zürcher das Hiltl liebenswürdig nennen - für alle geöffnet. Ob Vegetarier, Veganer oder auch normaler Karnivore: Die moderne, kreative und oft durch Indien beeinflusste Küche überzeugt.
Etwas war diesmal jedoch anders: Die Elite waren dazu eingeladen, den neuen Private-Driver und Taxidienst Uber auszuprobieren und konnten so mit der Uber App und dem Yelp Promocode in einer schwarzen Limousine vorfahren.
Um 19 Uhr gings los. Die Elite Yelper kamen, sahen und tranken gleich einen Cocktail. Und zwar einen leckeren und zur Saison und der Hitze draussen passenden und wunderschön angerichteten Lillet. So konnten die Teilnehmer mit der einen Hand trinken und mit der andern beim Yelp Event einchecken. Nach einiger Zeit ging's dann aber zur Sache: Community Manager Simon R begrüsste alle und lud im Namen von Marsha und Christoph sogleich zur Führung ein. Zwei Gruppen, eine deutschsprachig, die andere englisch, machten sich also in entgegengesetzter Richtung auf, das Haus zu erkunden. So sahen wir die kleinsten Ecken, die Kochnische im Obergeschoss wo regelmässig Kochkurse inmitten der speisenden Gäste durchgeführt werden, die hauseigene Bibliothek mit Fachliteratur und auch die Küche. Im Ort, wo die Hiltl Magie passiert ist alles sehr durchgeplant und jeder kennt seine Arbeit genau. Von der Spülerei zur Küche bis hin zum begehbaren Kühlschrank (hier mit Gemüse anstatt Bier): Überall konnten wir unsere Näschen reinhalten.
Am Ende der Führung wurden wir dann natürlich auf Probe gestellt und mussten eine Quizfrage beantworten. Die glücklicken Gewinner erhielten je einen Gutschein für ein Kochseminar in der zuvor besichtigen Kochnische. Wie cool! Und danach wurde auch für unsern durch die wunderbaren Düfte in der Küche immer grösser werdenden Hunger gesorgt. Zuerst mit Hiltl-Häppchen: Bruschetta, Tomaten-Mozzarella, Tapenade und sogar ein Vegi-Tatar. Dazu gabs frisch gepresste Säfte, Wein (wunderbarer Amarone), Prosecco und Wasser. Nach dem Einwärmen kriegten dann auch alle einen Teller: Wir durften uns am Buffet bedienen. Yummie!
Als sich der Abend langsam dem Ende neigte, erhielten einige Elite Yelper ihre roten Elite Socken: Das Elite-Geschenk 2013. Cool wie sie nun mal sind, haben sie die Socken auch gleich angezogen.
Martin H war vom Hiltl sichtlich beeindruckt: "Die Führung war eine Super-Idee, ist schon toll mal hinter die Kulissen eines der bekanntesten, und historischsten Restaurants der Stadt zu sehen. Von der 'Gewürzausstellung' bin ich immer noch ganz verblüfft." Und auch Simon W gefiel, was er sah: "Die Zutaten für die Gerichte bereitet Hiltl in-house vor, alles ist frisch und authentisch. Kein Convenience-Müll, und man schmeckts!"
Standesgemäss wurde wieder ein Yelp T-Shirt verlost, der glückliche Gewinner Matthias E läuft ab sofort nur noch in yelpigem Rot durch die Gegend.
Ich möchte mich hiermit ganz herzlich beim Haus Hiltl, und somit bei Rolf Hiltl mit seinem Team, unter anderem Marsha, Amber, Christoph und Rolli für den sehr grosszügigen Abend und die tolle Betreuung bedanken. Every Monday in July local Northern SD Yelpers gathered to sweat it out at a featured fitness focused business. Each customized exclusive Yelp Class boosted heart rates and supported whole body health! We replenished calories burned with clean and healthy snacks from wellness-centric juice bars, restaurants, locally made products and more. Yelp's Month Of Wellness was the perfect summer sit-up set up!
We committed to the month with our minds on wellness and pushing our fitness limits!
Five local gyms and studios hosted groups of Yelper's for a diverse schedule of custom classes each Monday of the Month. Starting at The Dailey Method we burned to our cores! Then it was Frog's Fitness for cross functional training, pedal and pilates at pushHouse followed by a chance to center ourselves at YogaSix. We wrapped it up with our fifth and final class this month at Fit In 60 with barre practice!
All that sweating earned attendees some post stretching snacks. Suja swooped in with an array of juice, GoodOnYaBar provided gluten free organic clean eating with their NCSD produced bars, Healthy Creations wrapped it up and served sustenance, Nawgen poured liquid refreshment for the mind, Beaming brought it big time with fresh bites and cold pressed juices, and Whole Foods had us at hello with salads and veggie wraps. Bloom Natural Health gave us B-Shot coupons and super schwag too!

Think you need to leave Buffalo to travel the world? Think
again. This past Sunday, July 28th hundreds of Yelpers gathered for
an epic ethnic food celebration of culture and fun in the name of a great
cause: raising money and awareness for the International Institute, a non-profit serving refugees in Buffalo.
The atmosphere had Lindsay
A feeling “full of exciting, fun energy from the minute they got out of the
car,” and was only amplified by “the ample portions and high quality of the
sips and nibbles” provided by some of the most highly ranked businesses in
Buffalo who all came together for this beautiful cause. Despite some strangers
meeting each other for the first time, Jonathan
D remarked that “the Buffalo Yelp community always proves to be an amazing
group of people and he was made to feel welcome the moment he walked in.”
The food? We’ll let the reviews speak for themselves: Ristorante
Lombardo’s “Arancini was a warm mouthful of awesome,” remarks Jonathan D and their “oxtail slider was
out of this world” added Christina H.
Jamie P was not
the only one to rave about The Lodge, opening soon at 79 W Chippewa St, exclaiming that their venison skewers with “tenderloin, sliced thin on naan
bread with a delicious sauce spread on it,” were entirely wonderful. Lindsay A added that she “can’t wait
for them to open” around August / September (us too). She alsocouldn’t get enough of “Thai Chili Lime Glazed Baby Back Ribs
from Left Bank,” and found the soup from Sun Restaurant to be one of her
favorites, along with “adoring the iced peppermint tea from TeaLeafs, with the
icing making it super refreshing and a great palate cleanser.” She confesses
she “wanted to sneak the whole pitcher from their table!
The Black Market Food Truck won a whole lot of new fans with
their Bánh Mì, with Rachel M considering
it to be one of her favorite items along with Sun’s black rice rolls. To wash all
this food down and give guests a nice refreshing kick, Encompass Coffee Bar (who recently
won Spree's award for best coffee) provided South African Ginger Beer, which Tom D proclaims, “was some really amazing ginger infused beverage that had me
sprouting more hair!” Sean P opted
to enjoy the “awesome beer from Community Beer Works,” wonderful “craft cider
from Chateau Buffalo” and end the night with some delightful “gelato from the
Gelato Gypsy.” And who could forget The Rooster & Two Chicks, a recently
opened gift shop and bakery that cooked up a delicious storm of goodies for
which Jamie P “indulged in a sea
salt caramel and chocolate chip cookie AND a blueberry tarte on almond crust
(gluten free).” Yum!
Entertainment was in full swing throughout the night with DJ
Projex spinning eclectic beats from around the world as well as Elena M’s favorite bit: the “photo booth
from Big Picture Photo Booth, which was “such a great way to be silly with friends
and bring a memory back home.” Jody G loved
having her “caricature drawn by Dario Mohr of DM Caricatures,” remarking that
she “doesn’t know how he did such a great job so quickly; such a talented guy!”

Close to 200 Yelp Elites and their guests partied poolside on one of the hottest, sunniest days this summer in Santa Cruz. It really was the perfect setting for an outdoor event! "The sun was shining and instantly brought us back to our island state-of-mind andhappy-to-be-sunkissed, feel-good vibes after high-tailing it out of the city in SF where we were freezing our okoles (that's Hawaiian for hineys!) all weekend," exclaimed Giselle P. "Why hello there beautiful sun," squealed Ly D. "It was so nice of you to join us during our pool party."
Food sponsors included Solaire, Pacific Thai Santa Cruz, The Picnic Basket and The Penny Ice Creamery, all of which were a huge hit with the Elites! Denise L broke it down for us. "Pacific Thai - tasty spring rolls and mango curry with shrimp. The Picnic Basket - delightful mini BLT's! The Penny Ice Creamery - fennel peach flavor, what what?" Vi T was was equally as impressed: "Paradox's on site restaurant and bar, Solaire, provided grilled beef wrapped scallions with a dandelion greens salad. Interesting combo! Pacific Thai's tofu springrolls were delicious, yet light while their rich shrimp and mango curry was apparently so good my +1 went back for fourths! Lol... The Picnic Basket dished out BLTs made with meaty heirloom tomatoes and the absolute BEST bacon I've ever had. In. My. Life. Penny's Ice Creamery scooped up cone after handmade cone of deliciously sweet yet savory fennel peach ice cream."
No summertime soiree is complete without boozy bevies! Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing was there to serve up their Casino IPA, Pale Ale and Amber Ale. Dee L couldn't believe her eyes, "Santa Cruz Mounta Brewing-organic beer? Say what!" And Mike H thought "the English style IPA was really smooth, and not too hoppy, perfect for a pool party." Not to be outdone, Bonny Doon Vineyard was also there with a crisp, refreshing selection of wines, which Ly D found to be "very light and summery." Daisy Z was almost too excited for words when they busted out an unexpected vino: "Bonny Doon Vineyard had a great rose and they directed me to a *sparkling moscato* that they have. My liver will never be ready for this news."
Last but certainly not least, Segway Santa Cruz was onsite offering Segway demos! Elites (who hadn't yet sampled the drinks!) were allowed to drive around a mini course in the parking lot. "The absolute thing I was most excited to try was the Segway- that was on my bucket list and because of yelp I got that chance," exclaimed Desiree C. Initially, Dee L thought there would be some sort of "an elaborate segway show. Who would have know they would let us test drive a Segway?! Eh hem, I ran over a cone and I still passed with flying colors. I loved the instructors' energies. "It's all in the hips. Yah feel that? It responds to your body." (Wish other things in life followed that mantra.)"
There to capture all of the action with their green screen photo booth was Exposure Entertainment. "Who doesn't love photobooths??? Love the backdrop of the waves superimposed," said Amanda L. Jennifer H also commented, "The picture quality though was AMAZING. Our pictures came out great, the prints they gave were super nice. It was such a cool way to remember this yelp event (:"
To top it all off, Yelpers raised money for a wonderful Santa Cruz non-profit, Grind Out Hunger, who aims to eradicate childhood hunger and malnutrition in the US! Thanks to our pals at the 3rd Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, Hawaiian Airlines, and the Hyatt Regency Waikiki - one contest winner will fly himself and a friend non-stop from New York's JFK to Honolulu, as well as one room for three nights at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa, sometime between September 1 and 9th. The winner will also receive tickets to attend various events during the Third Annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, the premier epicurean event in the Pacific taking place that week.
Yelp hit the streets for a full two weeks where entering to win was easy: come find us and our Pineapple Express mascot throughout New York City, upload a photo, and you're entered to win a chance at dipping out to Honolulu. After hangin' 10 for, well... 10 days – we wrapped up Yelp's Pineapple Express and randomly selected our winner. Anderson C from Queens needed just one Drop In to secure his Hawaiian Airlines chariot to Honolulu. Congrats, kane!
On the eighth floor of a sleek office building and hotel in Tampa's bustling Westshore district, the Centre Clubplayed host to the latest Elite event. The venue boasts beautiful views of a lush, green tree canopy and the waters of Tampa Bay – not to mention great drinks, service, and food! Here, at the Centre of the Yelpiverse, wine and beer were flowing, appetizers were appealing, and everyone enjoyed a great evening. On a personal note, it was wonderful to meet so many friendly new faces!
First of all, Tampa Yelpers rock – we enjoyed perfect attendance at this event! Crystal H raves, "the Yelpers are freaking amazing! I loved hanging with my friends and seeing some people that I only get to see once a month." Meanwhile, Josh H calls the event "a great chance to whet my appetite enough to want to know more about becoming an Elite." He says, "A highlight for me were the containers of Yelp propaganda around the room."
Our host for the evening, the Centre Club, is a mix between a professional conference space and a swanky private ballroom. Mary J tells us, "This is a nice and very versatile venue that has probably hosted some great gatherings over the years. It seems to be extremely well kept up and maintained." Amber M agrees, saying, "This is a great spot for event rentals – with a great view of Tampa."
"The food was tasty," Dianna B notes. "I especially enjoyed the beer battered cheese sticks and the pot stickers – the savory soy dipping sauce was really good. The breading on the zucchini was spicy, and the coconut shrimp were flavorful." Even better, "Wine and beer was flowing quite liberally, and there were a nice selection of Pepsi products to choose from." Kristen P tells us that "each appetizer served was so delicious!" Her favorite? "The coconut shrimp... the sauce was light and delicious."
Thank you to the Centre Club for showing us exceptional hospitality and service – Cassie P comments, "The bartender was great – super friendly!" Yelpers, start your engines! The KC Elite Squad spent an evening doing laps around Hollywood Casino, with fantastic food, drinks and fun around every corner. Whether it was sampling selections from four different restaurants, competing in a scavenger hunt, or racing to win tickets to a NASCAR event, everybody agrees: this was a 5-star experience that wasn't to be missed!
Before they rode the escalator up to host restaurant Turn2, each guest was given a scavenger hunt list that sent them throughout the casino's many dining options. Whether counting the (49!) TVs in Turn2 or browsing the Hollywood memorobelia at Final Cut, Yelpers enjoyed the opportunity to test-drive the casino's culinary selections.
Of course, what's checking out a restaurant without sampling their food? The hosts made sure that everybody had plenty of fuel in their tanks, with tasty bites from all four restaurants. Sushi and spring rolls from Epic Buffet, pork sliders and shrimp tacos from Turn2 and chicken and waffles from Marquee Cafe. All were excellent, but the checkered flag went to a taste of Final Cut's new Thursday night special: strip steak, baked potato and Caesar salad. Normally $19.99, the complimentary bites whetted appetites and had people promising to return.
Yelpers kept their skills sharp by competing for a chance to win tickets to the upcoming Hollywood Casino 400. The challenge was simple: by the end of the night have the fastest time in Mario Kart! Many came close to winning, but there was only room for one victor, who made everybody else eat his (virtual) dust.
At the end of the night, the casino hosts thanked everybody for attending and everybody that got 100% on the scavenger hunt was entered in a drawing for restaurant gift certificates! Then all were sent on their way with casino gift bags full of swag to keep your gaming skills sharp!
Thanks to everybody for coming and making the event a success. Thank you to Hollywood Casino for showing us all such a great time. I know I'll be back to do some gaming and some dining, and I hope you will too.
Minds out of the gutter, not that kind of P... we're talking Potluck, Ponzi Vineyard Pinots, a tour of Production spaces, a Play (The Two Gentleman Of Verona), and because this was part of Yelp's Big Bite: Pizza!, Palatable Picnic additions in the form of Pizza with locally milled wheat flour crust and locally sourced toppings from The Kitchen at Arcadia Books. (Whew!) It was all part of Yelp Madison's "P" Party at American Players Theatre.
Ok let's be honest, Wisconsin's no hop, skip, or jump to The Globe, but taking in some Shakespeare is as easy as setting for Spring Green, and what's more, you can picnic on the grounds prior! Lexie G gabs, "The Kitchen at Arcadia Books provided some excellent pizza. Fennel pizza? I'm a foodie, but I'd never think of that! Delicious," and Kate T touts, "The potluck aspect was great, there
was an excellent smorgasbord of salads, meats, cheeses, hummus,
crackers, tortellini with pesto..." And what better way to wash down amazing eats than great grapes! Joe Tarpey of Wirtz Beverage was on hand sampling Ponzi Vineyard Pinots.
Yelpers were treated to a pre-show chat about the play and what it's like to perform there from actress Abbey Siegworth, Silvia in The Two Gentlemen of Verona this summer. Sara Young of APT talked about the history of the space and Jacki Singleton of The Kitchen chatted about her approach to pizza and what it's like to split her time between kitchen chef and APT stage manager! We were also treated to a tour of the
backstage production and storage facilities before the show which Scrantz L loved! "1000 hats!

other foods." She also explains, "every wig is made by hand from
real hair," and mentions "the millinery was awesome (the hat shop)."

If this ain't your first Community Lowdown, you know Yelp Elite events are all about amazing food, phenomenal beverage and are usually free of sweaty locks and panting Yelpers (that comes later - hello!) But this Thursday at Equinox Franklin Street in Boston, a gaggle of health-conscious Elites and their guests gathered for body working, deep breathing, Heart Pumpin' Elite Event!
Yelpers arrived in gym-dandy style, ready to tackle one of three exclusive classes offered by Equinox: a quad-blowing spin cycle class that put your training wheels to shame, a power flow yoga practice with upward dogs that stretch the mind and the body or the ultimate trainer – a metabolic conditioning bootcamp that meshed movement, weights and elevation to, well, destroy your puny physical form. Says Joanna H, "IT WAS INTENSE!" Caps on lock.
Breath caught and sweat steamed off, guests sipped on mocktails from The Ripe Stuff, antioxidant-rich guayusa teas by Runa and a bunch of grape juices – boosting HDL production! – from a selection of wines. A wind-down with a chair massage rejuvenated those musskles, and to refuel: protein-packed nibbles like Peking duck wraps, Asian gazpacho shooters and steamed shrimp cocktail!
To ice this fat-free cake, One Medical Group was on hand to offer an education on the importance of continued health care, showing Yelpers their unique, high-touch model and offering all attendees a free initial year of membership to their service (a $199 value)! Allison R was impressed: "Bravo! I'd love to see more events focused around cool activities and/or healthy living."

Whole Foods Wilcest unveiled their latest store renovations and addition, The Crest, a new wine and beer bar located right inside the famous grocery store – and the Yelp Elite Squad was invited to uncask The Crest!
There was much to see, taste and do. First up, the Whole Foods goodie bags! The first 100 Yelpers to "check-in" to the event via their Yelp mobile app received a goodie bag filled with multiple Whole Foods products – like hand soap, toothpaste, candles, snacks, bevs and more. Meanwhile, other Yelpers made way to the screen printing station where the first 30 Elites received a screen-printed tee with The Crest logo.
Excellent Elites drowned out the fierce floods in favour of a night of Plump Fiction @ Toronto's oldest restaurant, The Senator.
We bellied up to a bar dripping with deliciousness from our friends at Beau's, which is "a phenomenon" according to Robert K, along with The Senator's specialty Goldschlager Strawberry Shakes and Sambuca coffees. Boozy shakes?! "Divine" according to Lauren B's refined sweet tooth.
To soak up the party we had treats that taught us that diner doesn't have to be a dirty word. This scratch-made menu was large and in charge and favourites included sliders, mac and cheese and Kobe beef hot dogs. According to Martin S the best part came at the end, when the evening was "topped off with a fantastic Strawberry Crème Brûlée for dessert."
Here at Yelp we're all about connecting folks to great local businesses. Of course we find ourselves eating and drinking most of the time, hence several Elite Events at bars and restaurants... but every now and then, it's high time for something a bit outside the (ring) box. Case in point: Yelp Puts A Ring On It At Marisa Perry in the Village.
The friendly husband-and-wife team of Douglas Elliot and Marisa Perry specialize in the thinnest micro-pave diamond band in the market. Their Vintage Collection has a huge following, and they're the types who'll find you any shape, size, color, and clarity of stone that you'd ever need at prices that will leave your financial planner grinning from ear to ear.
For this particular soiree, we invited a few Yelp Elites for an evening of refined bites from an array of local artisans, Champagne drinks to stave off the hot summer weather, and plenty of bling to bring out the inner fashionista (or fashionisto) in all of us.
Yelp Elites burned the midnight oil as we embarked on Flatiron's L&W Oyster Co. With morsels stemming from the Eastern Seaboard alongside an artisan menu that changes daily based on what's brewing in the local farmer's markets... they give the slow food movement a good name.
L&W Oyster Co. specializes in in modern and classic takes on all things raw, smoked, cured, steamed, and fried. With heaps of fanfare from esteemed blogs, magazines, newsletters, et al., it's clear that L&W Oyster Co. has filled a void that was sorely missing from Manhattan's culinary landscape.
Nibbles that made the rounds included Montauk Pearl Oysters with cucumber-sake sranita, lobster deviled eggs, shrimp corn dogs, fried olives, and house made Cape Cod style potato chips. To wash it all down, Hemingway-style daiquiris and dark and stormy's made the rounds courtesty of Red Hook's VanBrunt Stillhouse Rum.
Our friends at Epic Cruises brought the boss venue and warmed us up with their sinfully tasty snacks,
such as mac 'n' cheese spoons, pulled pork sliders, and jerk chicken
skewers. Joining in on the flavour fun was OMG Baked Goodness' signature cupcakes and cookies and Pop Chips' newest savory selections. Thirst was quenched by our besties at Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and Mill Street Brewery!

On Saturday July 27th the Yelp Stockholm community met up for a summer picnic at Hornstull's beach park. Innocent was there with Innocent fruit smoothies for kids, Stockholm's cutest food truck, Frankie's Coffee Truck, served ice coffee, latte and homemade chocolate cookies and Yelp Stockholm had been baking ;)

"Hula dancers, roasted pigs, fresh fruit and rum punch - am I sitting 500 yards away from I-25 or on a Polynesian island?" Denver Elite Vicki P ponders? That was definitely the feel Yelp and the Sand Dollar Gallery was aiming for when planning the luau of the year: Yelp's Aloha Affair. Adorable gallery, the Sand Dollar converted their quaint turquoise house into a Polynesian escape with watercolors depicting Hawaiian scapes, and even raffled off an original watercolor by the gallery owner's father, William Condit, valued at $900! Wellington C was the lucky duck to take the painting home along with a book of the artist's other works.
The fun continued throughout the whole gallery as the expansive backyard was turned into a relaxed island getaway with delicious Mai Tais, Hula Dancers from Kalama Polynesian Dancers, Three whole roasted pigs from Panzano, and hand-crafted and yummy ice cream sandwiches courtesy of Petey Bird. Jennifer B couldn't get enough of the "whole roasted pigs" that "were succulent and finger licking good. I didn't
let an ounce on my plate go to waste. I don't think I'm willing to let
everyone know how many servings I had (total secret)." For the perfect dessert companion, Petey Bird made guests, like Demitri R, happy. "I tried the Chocolate Chip Cookie with Vanilla. Then The Sea Salt cookie with Strawberry Ice cream. Both were delicious." As DJ Postman spun some island beats, Polynesian dancers provided history behind each dance and hula-ed the night away to authentic Tiki melodies and stereotypical classics, like Hawaii 5-0.

'Twas a night to remember, hazily perhaps, as 300 Yelpers gathered at the iconic Charline McCombs Empire Theatre to mingle amongst some of our cities' best and brightest local businesses. Nine restaurants, eight beverage partners, and three music acts put on their best performances, making Yelp's Backstage Pass the biggest and baddest Yelp event in San Antonio to-date!
We wouldn't be keepin' it puro if we didn't rock out to some local beats. DJ Steven Lee Moya set the smooth tone, followed by local duo who Ash M swears by, "if you're not madly in love with Lorita Drive after last night, check your pulse people!" Rounding out the night and bringing down the house, was rockabilly group, The Hares. Post-getting down on the dance floor, Yelpers relaxed in the Raw Hair Studio lounge with complimentary head and hand massages, and a little bit of stylin' advice. Guests stopped by the Banana Stand photo booth to create some moments of their own, and the remaining candids were captured by the talented Parish Photography.
Ultimately, all this fun culminated in a whopping $1,800 raised for the Las Casas Foundation! Summing it up better than we can for ourselves, event newbie Betron S, "This party was so much more than getting to know fellow yelpers, this event was a fantastic opportunity to sample the town, and get to know the vendors, distillers, brewers, and restaurateurs alike. I was able to connect so many people to their online personas, and ultimately experience the individual fabulousness of each!"

It was a wintery Wednesday night when Yelp's Brisbane Community dressed with warmer temps in mind and made their way to The Jubilee Hotel for Brisbane's first Yelper Party. More than 250 Yelpers celebrated Brisbane’s biggest Yelp event since its launch in the city in 2012.
With tiki-torches lighting the entrance, guests were welcomed by Lei greeters and tribal tunes before entering a tropical oasis of floral arrangements (thanks to Flowers in Hand), the cutest pineapples you have ever seen from Food Connect and a sea of costumes.
There was plenty to eat thanks to our great food partners with Yelpers dining on a feast of gourmet delights. Who could deny themselves a gourmet “haute” dog fromSnag Stand or the resoundingly popular sriracha marshmallow which won Maria Palitos a legion of new fans. There was also pineapple coconut fairy floss from Spun Fairy Floss, a selection of steamed buns from Happy Little Dumplings (let’s stop for a moment and think about the custard bun) and a selection of samples from The Jubilee’s new menu.
Last but certainly not least, closet brownie lovers came out thick and fast for I Heart Brownie’s exclusive creation for the evening.Yelper Cynthia W spills the beans: “May I say I heart I Heart Brownies? Coconut rum brownies. Are you geniuses over there? Why can’t you bake in my home everyday?”
Lines gathered at the Patrón pop-up bar for their passionfruit coconut cocktail and samples of their XO Café. Mexican Bulldogs or Margoronas (a margarita with a Corona) appeased happy drinkers as they made their way around the dance floor. For the craft beer enthusiast local beer guru Matt Kirkegaard hand-picked a range of craft beers and ciders for guests. From Stone & Wood to Dr Pilkington’s Miracle Cider - there was a drink for everyone.
Of course, what’s a Tiki party without some cheek? The Bombshell Burlesque and Beauty Academy upped the cheek levels with two performances rousing the audience. Fire twirling, hip swaying and more left us all wanting more when Heilani Polynesian Entertainment Group captivated the crowd with their moves. A few game Yelpers even tried their own hand and shaking a tail feather. Shakira’s hips have nothing on these guys!
When feet were tired and tummies full, guests could kick back in the IKEA lounge manned by Sidekickers,Chloe and Nikita.
The evening would have been nothing without the support of two very special partners on the night. Our venue, The Jubilee Hotel and our charity partner, headspace (auspiced by Aftercare).

On Monday, July 22nd YelpYEG Elite’s were the honoured
guests of the Taste Of Edmonton
in their Sip' N Savour tent for: Indigenous
Cuisine Night! The extraordinary night was hosted by the
legendary Chef Shane Chartrand, of Von’s Steak House & Oyster Bar. He selected
4 local Edmonton and area Chefs and presented them with a Master Chef style
"Mystery Box" challenge. The Chefs were disclosed with a list of
foods and ingredients that are indigenous to Alberta and were tasked with
creating a modern meal for us to judge! The event also featured a Scotch Tasting from Alberta Distilleries and Highwood Distilleries.
Oh Canada, we sure have an amazing abundance of natural recourses
availible here in the Prairies! The incredible edible entrees served up were
based upon traditional Aboriginal dishes and were given a modern, culinary
kick. Starting off, Chef Eric Hanson and his team presented us with stunning smoked
Sturgeon with pickled fingerlings, figs, plum salsa, cress purée and finished
with a fig balsamic reduction and sage. And as if that was not enough, served
alongside the dish was a cocktail shooter containing potato vodka with plum
reduction and fig caviar! Chef Doreen Prei of the Petroleum Club created a
Bison Brisket dish with cherries, rosemary, ramps, baby potatoes and champagne vinaigrette!
From Team Von’s, it was a smoked Elk jerky with turnips, pine nuts, apples,
bone marrow and mint tea. Last but certainly not least, a ravishing rabbit dish
marinated in black tea with maple, sage, corn and morels on a bannock like cake,
created by Chef Joel Ghostkeeper of Normand's.
The Chefs and their astonishing dishes may have been the
stars of the show but the outstanding varieties of Scotch, Whiskey and Bourbon
were definitely an award winning supporting cast. From Tullibardine Distillery
there was the Tullibardine 225, Tullibardine 228 and the Tullibardine 300. Antiquary
12 year from Tomatin Company of Scotch definitely wowed the crowed. From the
worlds most difficult to access distillery, located out on a desolate Scottish
island, The Isle of JURA Elixir. Then there was the Dalmore: At over $250 a bottle,
the extremely rare 1995 Dalmore Age Of Exploration; aged in white oak barrels
and finished in Madeira casks for three years, before a final year spent
resting in Matusalem Oloroso Sherry butts before bottling. Not to be outdone by
the Scotts, from Canada there was North America's 1st Single Malt Whisky: Glen
Breton Rare 10 Year hailing from Nova Scotia! Pendleton Canadian Blended was
also on hand and surprised us all by being distilled in Oregon! Last but not
least, Kentucky Bourbon. Jim Beam brought out their new Devils Cut - and that it
did! And finally, Knob Creek proved that depth and sophistication can be bottled south
of the boarder ;)
This fabulous event all took place in the middle of Sir Winston
Churchill Square. The weather was gorgeous and the patio perfectly designed and
decorated by PUR Living patio furniture. A huge thanks to our resident Yelp
Photographer, the talented Mr. Dave Tameling. And a tremendous thank you to the
organizers and dedicated staff of Taste Of Edmonton for all their hard work to
make this Elite Event an extraordinary evening!
Last week, the Baton Rouge Elite Squad met for its first
Elite Event at Caliente Mexican Craving. It was without a doubt, a Fiesta
Fantastica. They served up traditional favorites and new takes on the
classics – Yelpers were exclaiming aye
The staff at Caliente treated us like royalty, and served us
bottomless top shelf margaritas and sangria. We all gathered on the patio to
and shared a sampling of many of the awesome menu items Caliente offers like
Ceviche, Mexican Egg Rolls, Crawfish Bread, Black Bean Soup, Mini Chimichangas,
Chicken Quesadillas, Street Tacos, Kabobs and Chocoflan. The Street Tacos
caught everyone’s attention, especially Joel M, who wrote that he “LOVED,
LOVED, LOVED the,” and is planning to
“hit this place again just for these.” Perhaps the most unique part of
the menu was the Chocoflan. It is flan on top of a brownie! They took two of
the best desserts and covered them in a caramel sauce.
Of course, this event fantastica
could never have happened without the generosity and dedication from Caliente
Mexican Craving. Thanks, Jessica, for hosting us, and Cristina for all of your
hard work and planning to make our party so successful and fun! I also owe thanks
to all of the Elites who came out, especially those dedicated Yelpers who drove
all the way from New Orleans to celebrate our first Elite Event in Baton Rouge.

For the fifth installment of the successful string of 2013 Secret Suppers, Denver Yelpers gathered at 16th Street Mall favorite, Rialto Cafe for an intimate dinner of 45 people perched above the restaurant on their own private dining mezzanine. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a refreshing cocktail: A Sky Moscato Grape with sparkling wine, a splash of Chombard, and a perfect accent of a lemon peel garnish to top it off!
As guests took their seat they were presented with a bountiful array of appetizers for the table to share. Among the assortment was bruschetta, calamari, hummus, seared Ahi tuna, and assorted condiments. For Jennifer B, " The winner for most of us was the bruschetta, it had a great balsamic on it that was addictive." Next up was the main attraction of the night, the entree. When there is three solid choices from which to choose, it's not always an easy decision. Whether, it was the Fresh Scottish Salmon (All natural and grilled, creamy goat cheese polenta, heirloom grape tomatoes, wilted spinach), the Beef Short Ribs (Slow-braised in red wine, rustic root vegetables, whipped potatoes), or the Eggplant & Portabello Stack (Grilled portabello, panko crusted eggplant, wilted spinach, whipped potatoes, marinara, grilled asparagus, balsamic reduction), every Secret Supper diner enjoyed every last bite. Alicia K went with the braised beef short rib and has to say, "it was tender and didn't need a knife, falling apart with a tap of my fork."
With a meal as hearty and wholesome as that it's only right to wrap it up with a decadent dessert, like the Black Forest Cake: Rich chocolate cake with candied cherries, dark chocolate mousse, white chocolate mousse, crème brulee center, and fresh raspberry sauce, and the Red Velvet Cake:
Cheesecake, chocolate shavings, crème anglais.

Tuesday proved to be a night for the lucky, ahem, Elite ones, as Jax’s finest Yelpers flocked like seagulls to Atlantic Beach for Allie A’s first official YEE at Culhane’s Irish Pub! Yelpers took to pint drinkin’, riverdancin’ and sampling great bites, of course!
The party started with a nice buzz, thanks to adult beverages like the Hot Honey Bee, (Jack Honey with Fire Eater), and an imported cheese platter loaded with a variety of Irish cheeses, figgie almond cake bites and tasty toasted baguettes. “The Dubliner Stout cheese was amazing – creamy with a nice bite – and the drink had wonderful taste and quite the sting,” says Chris C about the pairing.
“May your cup (and plate) always be filled” was the staff’s mantra and round two featured the crispy cut chips with Sheppard’s Pie and Irish Nachos! The beer-battered cod bites with Cajun remoulade that followed proved to be Daisy D’s “favorite savory dish of the night!”
It wouldn’t be a true Irish party with some pints of Guinness rightfully paired with the Guinness marinated beef and cheddar sliders, aka “tasty little bombs of spice and flavor.” A sweet segue to the crowd favorite, and last up: Cinotti’s Bakery bread pudding on a stick with warm Bailey’s Anglaise dipping sauce. Naomi B was not alone in her sentiment, but said it best: “I could have eaten a dozen of these things easily! The bread pudding alone was warm and delectable, but dipped in the sauce? WOW. I'd come here just for THAT!”
The Celtic tunes played on as the “Show
Yelp You’re Best Riverdance” competition commenced for Yelp schwag
and a Culhane’s gift certificate. Mary Jane Culhane crowned Julie A the
ultimate jig master.
New friends and fans were simultaneously made, and if you ask Bill K, “We're making Culhane’s one of our main places at the beach to lift a few pints and sample some interesting appetizers.” A huge, huge shout out to Brett N, who not only drove from Tampa to join us, but is the only guy who can rock a green mustache like this! Another thank you to Cassandra HC Photography for making the memories live on (re-live them here and here) and of course to Culhane’s entire crew.

On a brisk Wednesday night in San Diego's East Village, a select group of Elites were invited to a true display of overwhelming hospitality. The tables were set, the music was raised, the wine glasses were filled and the staff welcomed the guests with a mountain of beautifully prepared food. Yelp Proposes A Toast At Toast Enotecca & Cucina was ready to begin! As the spirited group settled in, Toast's very own elite group of hard-working bartenders, management and kitchen staff got to work laying out a spread that would even make the most seasoned Elite blush. Om de heropening te vieren nodigden Cas Goossens en Kevin Strubbe de Yelp Community uit voor een avondje om nooit méér te vergeten! Bij aankomst kregen de Yelpers als aperitief Saumur met Liefmans Cuvée Brut en mocht Dorien L, één van de Yelp Elite's een fles sabreren met een zwaard. Daarna werd de bende binnen in het restaurant verwacht voor een 1/1 Krab Belle-Vue met een glaasje witte wijn.
Tijdens het voorgerecht kreeg de Yelp Community een ware etiquette voordracht van Kevin Strubbe, ge-wel-dig! Het hoofdgerecht volgde snel ; Zalm Dugléré - witte wijnsaus, peterselie, tomaat concassée & aardappelmousseline" met een glaasje witte wijn.Na het hoofdgerecht kregen alle Elite's in het restaurant hun Yelp sokken en blij dat ze hiermee waren! Als dessert kregen we een Coupe Negro - vanille-ijs, chocolademousse & advocaat.
Dit was event was ronduit schitterend, zelden zo beleefd en vriendelijk personeel in een Antwerpse zaak gezien en zulke lieve charmante warme gastheren die ons een avond gaven om nooit meer te vergeten!Yelp LOVES De Rooden Hoed, dat is zeker!

Grand Cafe 'De Rooden Hoed' is one of Antwerps eldest
restaurants and has a very rich history. In 2013 the entire building
was renovated in its' original state. They took their time with the
renovation because they did the outside swell as the inside which
resulted in a spectacular result!
You enter the restaurant and the first thing you see is the crustation
bar in which they have fresh lobster, oysters and sea urchins displayed.
If you want to enjoy some of these, they are opened in front of you so
freshness is assured! Besides the amazing choice of seafood, the also
offer the classics which have been on the menu since forever. These
include choucroute d'Alsace, Steak tartare, snails, rabbit dishes and so
much more. To celebrate the grand re-opening Cas Goossens and Kevin
Strubbe invited the entire Yelp community for a night never to be

with Liefmans Cuvée Brut. Not only did they get to enjoy this, one of
our Elite Yelpers Dorien L was allowed to saber a bootle of Liefmans Cuvée Brut..
we were certainly entertained. After that we were guided inside to
enjoy a 1/1 Bellevue Crab with a delicious glass of white wine. While we
were enjoying this appetizer, Kevin introduced us into the world of
'etiquette' explaining us everything there is to know.. just AMAZING!
The entree soon followed but not too fast
It was salmon Duglère with a white wine saus accompanied by fresh
parsley, tataki of tomatoes and a beautiful potato mousseline…mmm again
accompanied with the perfect white wine.
Of course Yelp had another surprise for its Yelpers so while everybody
was enjoying their entree, they all received their much awaited yelp
socks! Everybody was ecstatic! The socks were followed by dessert; A
coupe Negro- Vanilla ice cream, chocolate mouse and advocate. No one
uttered a word.. everybody enjoyed in silence.
The event was spectacular! Never did we encounter such friendly and
helpful personel in an Antwerp establishment. And not to forget the most
charming hosts who gave us a night not one of us will forget.
Yelp LOVES De Rooden Hoed, that's a fact! We want to thank Cas Goossens
and Kevin Strubbe from De Rooden Hoed and their entire team that was

Last Thursday night Yelp Elites and guests dolled up in their finest summer attire to enjoy a special tasting of several fine dishes at Terebinth in Chesapeake. From pasta to paninis and the highly anticiapted macarons, Yelp Hampton Roads was in for every bit of savory, sexy and sweet!
Well just how sweet was this par-tay? Ashlea L claims, "Everything was so delectable I really didn't know what I enjoyed the most. The lemon basil pasta salad was perfect. The panini bread was amazing. And the tomato jam and cheese on a buttery home-made croissant? Yes, please!" Evelyn A's "palate was truly satisfied." To add to her overall experience, "I loved the decor and knowing that most of it was recycled was a bonus." Katrina C found the entire evening to be "fan-smurphing-tastic, fabulous and fancy-schmancy."
Now on to what everyone came for, the French macarons. Before the event, our Elites nominated their very own macaron flavors and the staff at Terebinth selected their favorite with the winner taking home a dozen French macarons. Our lucky winner? Paul T, welcome to the Elite Squad and congrats on your maple bacon suggestion. "It was like a little taste of breakfast." It didn't stop there. From the reviews it looks like Yelp's even a fan of rose water. Denise S brags about how "it made my breath smell like roses! I wanted to wear it like an earring!"
A very heartfelt thank you goes to Kisha Frazer and her staff for hosting the Yelp Hampton Roads Elite Squard. For Nikki F, "all of my pregnancy dreams came true as I stuffed my face full. I'm super stoked to return so I can eat and drink more of their delicious fare and of course, stuff my face with more of their macarons."

Yelp Chicago 'Burbs Elites have got meat on the mind and what better way to indulge than by devoting 4-days of events to America's Favorite Steakhouse at 4 different Longhorn Steakhouse locations in Chicagoland -- a Steak-cation (Steak + vacation), if you will. Enter: Yelp's Chicagoland's Great American Steakation at Longhorn Steakhouse!
Back-to-back events kicked off in Orland Park, Schaumburg, Norridge, and finally Bolingbrook with 80 Elites getting to feast on beastly amounts of Wild West Shrimp, Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms before taking on the huge house Ranch Cobb Salad, only to move on to the main event: Choice of Bone-in Outlaw Ribeye, 8oz Renegade Sirloin, or the 7oz Flo's Filet paired with either Fresh Aparagus, Loaded Baked Potato, or Sweet Potato with cinnamon and brown sugar. The group finished off the evening with heaping helpings of the Very Berry Grilled Pound Cake and unforgettable Chocolate Stampede.

Last week, Detroit Elites braved the unpredictable Michigan weather for our 2nd annual family friendly pleY date at Midway Sports and Entertainment. For three hours folks had unlimited access to all the fun Midway has to offer—go karts, batting cages, eurobungee, water wars, mini golf, a driving range, bumper cars, rock climbing walls, and more!
Unfortunately, an hour into the evening the weather turned and the rain came down in buzz killing buckets. Undeterrred, our easy going guests parked under the tents and enjoyed pizza from Pizza Kitchen, plenty of pop and water for hydration, sno-cones for a sweet treat, popcorn from Detroit Popcorn Company for snacking, and balloon animals from Curlie's Face Art for a little extra fun. After, some braved the rains and grabbed buckets of balls to get a few swings at the driving range, others took refuge under the covered bumper cars, and some popped open decks of Yelp playing cards for some impromptu card games under the tents. What rain??
A boatload of thanks goes out to Jason and the staff at Midway for creating the most welcoming and friendly environment for our yelpers and their families. 25 lucky Elites took part in a group session with Chef Colleen and her staff: Nina, Dayna, Destiny and Amanda. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with glasses of wine and tasty cheese plates. Not a bad way to get started... And after some introductions, a quick colllection for The One Fund and strict instructions to was our hands, the crew was broken up into three groups and put to work!
Group 1 prepared ginger soy meatballs, Group 2 made strawberry manchego crostini and Group 3 helped whip together banana salted caramel blondies. Tough job, but someone's gotta do it! Each team learned important kitchen skills, whether it was baking a crostini to the right consistency, making the perfect sized ball of meat, or to how to prepare caramel sauce on the stove without burning the pan. Everyone took turns with the hands-on activities like a good little team should.
Within an hour, the two appetizers and dessert were ready to eat! Everyone sat down to a perfectly set long tables and three glasses of wine to pair with the food. Everyone "oohed" and "ahhed" over our creations. In between each course, Colleen shared a little info about the wines served and the reasons why she chose them. Eifel Riesling for the meatballs, La Cane Albarino with the crostini and Yalumba Antique Tawny Port to pair with dessert.

This month Yelp Louisville Elites and
guests met up on a Sunday afternoon at Apocalypse Brew Works for our July Elite
event: Yelp Elite's Hair of the Dog. As pups are always
welcome at Apocalypse, people brought their dogs and we also had a little hair
of the dog with beer brewed on-site from Apocalypse!
Fallout dust is a "totally cool beer and like nothing I have
ever had before" raves Kelly O.
"It has pepper in it so it is spicy but even in the heat it was
refreshing." Other favorites were the watermelon crack, creamation
and the smoked porter — and the taps kept flowing all afternoon long. While their
brews helped save us from hot temps, it was neat to see that those bright rays
from the sun actually play a key part in making those brews so nice to sip on
in the sweltering heat. And guests got to learn about that process on small group tours with Brewmaster Leah Dienes — from the beginning with the solar panels on the roof that heat their water all the way to the finished product.
Guests took away knowledge on everything from tips for homebrewing to info about the equipment Apocalypse uses. The tour blew Mark P away as he randomly discovered a fun personal connection when he saw their equipment "bearing labels stating these urns were manufactured a long time ago in my
all time favorite beach village, hundreds of miles north of here, in a place
that no longer has any manufacturing.
Any Sunday afternoon drinking session isn't complete without
grilled grub and we were incredibly happy to have Busta Grill there for the
party. Yelpers (and undoubtedly their dogs too) are still salivating over the
bison dogs and veggie dogs. Made with KY Bison and topped with creative additions
like potato sticks, garlic aioli, roasted red pepper spread and more goodies,
it's no wonder these delicious dogs garnered great reviews. Kathy V simply puts it this

event was not only "the highlight of her weekend and but it was
refreshing to be able to bring her dogs" too! The Animal Care Society
joined us so dogs and their owners could sign up for their upcoming Bark in the
Park walk. Plus, our four-legged friends got to be the center of attention in
photos thanks to our friends at MagBooth. Kelly O's "Butter was such a ham — she totally jumped at the
chance to have her picture taken with me and her uncle Matt!" They
even got to leave their tracks, aka doggie autographs, in chalk too — thanks to
our friends at the Louisville Artists Syndicate who made dog
bone shaped chalkboards for them to run around and mark their territory with

Last Saturday, a dozen of Montreal Yelp Elites met up at Kahwa Café for a morning adventure of speed dates with local shop owners on Avenue Mont-Royal. In total five businesses had 10 minutes each to seduce and charm these Yelpers.
“This was by far one of my favourite Elite events!” exclaimed Amanda C who “really enjoyed the fact that we were a small group, so it encouraged mingling, and we visited multiple business, keeping things lively.” A huge thank you to Avenue Mont-Royal for being the matchmaker and thanks to the participating businesses for charming our socks off. Just thinking about you is making us blush!

On a warm Phoenix night, Elites gathered at the brand new Phoenix Public Market Cafe in Downtown Phoenix for a Yelp to Table event not to be missed. With the drinks flowing and the plates full of food, Elites spent an evening laughing, eating and drinking against the backdrop of farm fresh food and charm.
Elites were greeted with Yelp notebooks and a Yelp pen and encouraged to exchange recipes with fellow Elites throughout the night. In between recipes, other Elites got to know each other with a farm to table bingo game that included singing "Old McDonald Had A Farm" outloud!
With tunes playing lively over the loudspeaker, Elites enjoyed plentiful bites including made-to-order pork sandwiches, bowls of french fries, farm fresh salads and other tasty bites, all made from local ingredients from farms around town. Luckily the bar was open all night and allowed Elites to order fresh squeezed cocktails from the talented staff.
While Elites lounged in the comfortable seating, owner Aaron Chamberlin educated the crowd on the Cafe's concept and one lucky Elite even won the chance to be a "chef for a day" and create their own meal from the kitchen! However, every Elite was a winner because everyone left with goodie bags filled with coupons, pastries, soil in a mason jar with a seed packet to plant and more!

Cette chaleureuse guinguette à fruits de mer a mis les petits plats dans les grands et a concocté un menu de choix pour cette soirée placée sous le thème : Summer Touch. Oriane C s'est "régalée de leurs spécialités mais gros coup de coeur pour les moules farcies qui étaient vraiment délicieuses." Amandine S, tout aussi gourmande, a craqué pour "le tartare de saumon et les bulots". Les canelés de La Toque Cuivrée étaient aussi de la partie !
Camille D a découvert la Cuvée Spéciale du Rince-Doigts. Du rosé, du blanc, du rouge "qui désaltèrent bien par cette chaude soirée."
Si Audrey C ne devait retenir qu'une chose, ce serait "les goodies tout nouveaux tout beaux qui étaient à disposition pour faire des photos originales" sur la plage artificielle du Rince-Doigts. Summer Touch assurée !
Le mot de la fin pour Anne-Laure S qui "a passé un super moment et a adoré l'ambiance très conviviale ! Tout le monde discute, échange et rigole." Et oui, ça, c'est une soirée réussie !

L'evento Elite di Yelp a luglio è stato caraterizzato da tanta frutta, vino secondo Ilaria G: "un altro super evento elitè riuscito in particolare per i piatti, l'ambiente e la compagnia". "Un tour-de-force di 10 mini-portate (e 10 bicchieri di vino!!) con
piatti molto sfiziosi, ben presentati ed originali. Tutto impeccabile:
dall'ideazione dell'evento, alla gestione da parte di Kristina, dalla
raffinatezza della location alla disponibilità dello staff" spiega Stefano B".
Elide M ci illustra le prime portate: "Primo piatto del menu: scomposizione di una caprese, ovvero gelé di
acqua di pomodoro con quenelle di ricotta su spennellata di crema al
basilico. La gelatina di pomodoro è stata una vera sorpresa, è un modo
originale di rivisitare la classica caprese, scomponendo appunto i vari
ingredienti, ma senza intaccare il mix di sapori originario. Il
risultato mi ha lasciata soddisfatta e il pesto era di ottima qualità.
La seconda portata era Tartare di salmone con senape allo champagne,
arancia su creme d'avocado e salsa ponzu ma nel mio caso il pesce è
stato sostituito dal Daikon, il ravanello bianco gigante tipico della
cucina giapponese, ho scoperto un nuovo ingrediente dal sapore delicato
ma ottimo per le insalate. Terza portata: Sashimi di tonno rosso al lime
e menta verde in concassé di mela verde e filangé di ginger servito su
una spennellata di miele di limone di Calabria e sesamo, che io
ovviamente non ho mangiato, per me è arrivata una "torre" di caprese,
questa volta nella versione ricomposta"!
Gianni I fa i suoi complimenti al "grande chef Diego, è stato fantastico, sia nelle proposte che nel suo
modo di porsi, socievole e disposto alle molteplici domande con
spiegazioni comprensibili, sappiamo bene quale riservatezza hanno i
grandi chef. Personale preparato e gentilissimo, sempre presente senza
mai forzare". Come non fare a parlare del suo piatto forte "il risotto di zucca con fonduta di caprino e spolverata di caffè"!
Invece Andrea G non fa che parlare dei dolci, un sorbetto di anguria e a parte la "maratona culinaria tra ottime pietanze e tanto tanto
vino! Il cuore caldo al cioccolato a fine degustazione è stata la

Well it's July and a 10 course meal would have been a heavy load if it wasn't for the fact that every plate had a different type of fruit in it. With 10 different types of wine and great company the event was a success! Kim S says that "every plate was very creative and the mix of flavors were always a
surprise at how beautifully they worked together. The fruit theme was
very well executed and left me wanting to try more fruit in my meals at
home. The wines were paired beautifully. The bread was fantastic (my
silly way of knowing everything else would be exquisite)"!
Georgette J loved the "caprese salad, with balsamic
decoration and a really nice pesto. The prosecco and wine served at
the event was very good even if the staff had trouble making sure
everyone's cup was filled. My standout
dish was the risotto at the end, made with caffe and pumpkin. Very
unique flavors which I enjoyed even if by this time I was pretty full".

Quand on réunit plus de 45 Yelpeurs, dans un parc, un soir d’été pour un pique nique d’Elites avec les hot-dogs du Food Truck Made In Street, des bonnes bières bio, les Confidences d’Hakim, et un photo shoot magnifiquement orchestré par Alice G de Bliss Out… Ca ressemble à une belle soirée, non ? C’était la soirée Elite Yelp Summer Of Love la semaine dernière !
Côté ambiance Oriane D se souvient... : « So bucolique, cette soirée ! Et tout un symbole, presque un an après ce premier pique-nique de Yelpeurs, qui avait rassemblé quelques-uns d'entre nous autour d'une de ces nappes rouges "made in San Francisco"... Les participants étaient alors nettement moins nombreux et un peu timides, aussi... aaah jeunes Yelpeurs que nous étions ! »
Randolph L a « été conquis par les Hot-dogs de Made In Street tantôt sweety avec une douce sauce au concombre, tantôt spicy avec une délicate sauce aux piments ». Un gros MIAM !
Pour se désaltérer, « Hakim et sa bière bio florale, la Confidence étaient à l'honneur !" Jessica G a "trop hâte de découvrir l'envers du décor et de la fabrication de cette petite merveille » Une visite de la brasserie à l'automne ?
Alice G, de Bliss Out a sortit le grand jeu ! Virginie M « prend la pose pour se faire tirer le portrait dans l'herbe ». Et Céline L rajoute "Avec son photoshoot, elle vient d'immortaliser une bonne tranche de bonheur dans la vie de la communauté lilloise" ! C'est bien vrai !
En résumé, pour Hortense D c’était « un pic nic de luxe ! Soleil, parc bien entretenu, nappes, pastèques, bonbons, hot dogs faits avec amour, photos, bonne bière locale, sangria délicieuse, goodies marrant ! Que rêver de mieux ? »

We all know it's neat to be Elite – but the Gold Badge Yelp Elite Squad is certainly something special. These Yelpers are legends, sporting that coveted gold Elite badge for five or more years. And this month, they celebrated their dedication to the Yelp Houston community with a fancy soiree at The Palm Restaurant.
The Palm Restaurant, which recently reopened its doors after nearly six months of renovations, treated the Gold Badge Elites to a spread of crab claws, lamb lollipops, jumbo lump crab cakes, lobster on a stick, prime rib steak, tuna tartare, fried oysters– and so ... much ... more!
With three wine tasting stations offering Flora Springs Trilogy, Cakebread Cellars Sauvignon Blanc, Greystone Cellars Chardonnay, Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon, Benzinger Chardonnay and Benzinger Tribute – along with The Palm Restaurant's signature cocktail, the "Sparkling Citron" – Elites indulged in a wonderful food/wine/cocktail pairing.

though at the beginning I felt a bit guilty about being 'underground' on such a
lovely evening, I'm fast to admit I loved the air conditioning," she continued. "Also let's not
forget those Raspberry Mules - I want to drink them all day, they were super
delirious as were those mini burgers #yummy.”
Taking up the decked-out neon-glowing basement area of this
cocktail bar, about 80 yelpers and qypers filled the space. Après went all out hosting the evening
with a selection of their amazing cocktails, being made constantly behind the
bar, like Raspberry Mules and the Palomas.
Chris P drank it up: “We
were immediately offered a drink coming in, and I started with the Espresso
Martini, made with rum. It was exactly what I needed! According to the young lady who brought us
the drink, it was coffee that Après roasts on their own. A nice little touch.”
The staff also came around with a fantastic tasting
selection of items, including duck pancakes, mushrooms filled with risotto and gourmet
The whole event was set to music with the help of the
Christian Miller duet (with Aaron Liddard on sax). “Had an amazing night and the cocktails were the cherry on the
top after a long hot sunny day! Gotta say I'll be going back to après as I love
the decor and the atmosphere was buzzing!” Saima M told us.
When everyone was nicely buzzed, everything got a little
mixed up with drunk list making! Team were formed and it went down “Family
Fortune” style (or “Family Feud” depending on what country you’re in.) The
yelpers had to guess things like The Best Burgers in London, Top BBC Shows or
Most Quoted Movies of All Time.
Lauren V sums up the event nicely: “Coming off the absolutely baking central line,
how lovely to descend into the frosty depths of the lounge and be handed an
ice-cold cocktail! good music, great food(those sliders were perfectly
cooked), tasty drinks and lovely staff.”
Elites like to keep it local, and it doesn't get more local than new hip Southtown eatery, Stella Public House. Before the restaurant opened to the public, carb lovin' Elites gathered 'round a communal table to break bread, beer cocktails, and more. Stella's family, in Melia R's words, "lavished princess treatment on our Yelp family. Even the hospitality was Italian-style!"
Beckoned to a beautifully decorated table complete with heirloom tomoato centerpieces, Eiltes sat down and were offerred their choice of beverages. From innovative beer cocktails like the popular Mezanotte (gin, St. Germaine, blackberries, and beer) to an expertly curated wine list, Elites had their choice of beverages to whet their whistle.
It's a good thing we worked up an appetite, because "embarrasment of riches," in John G's terms, only just begins to describe how the remainder of the afternoon played out. It's not everyday that we're told, "tell us what pizza you want, and we'll make it," but that's essentially how it went down at Stella. First to hit the table were the caprese salad of thick sliced mozarella and local heirloom tomatoes (compliments of Andres, the mozarella mastermind), lamb meatballs, wild mushroom mac and cheese, roasted summer squash, warm olives, and country bread. There wasn't a drop left on those skillets! When the pizza came, we were already verging on full, but managed to make room for a taste of every single pizza on the menu. To name a few, Sopressata, Spicy Fennel Sausage, and Quattro Formaggi with arugula and fig balsamic. Elites event had the opportunity to play Chef, and were asked to come up with their own variations for the kitchen to make!
This "leisurely and delicious and boozy afternoon" deemed by Lauren M had a sweet finish with Stella's small but mighty dessert menu. Salted caramel panna cotta with almond biscotti and banana brulee, ice cream sundae with espresso mocha ganache, and the "original goodness" – tiramisu. Jai J puts our feelings into words, "Once the bite was finished, I was brought back to reality. But what do you do when you wanna go back to heaven? You take another bite of course!" As if Stella hadn't done enough, each Elite left with a gift bag full of goodies – homemade tomato sauce, olive oil, and a mini baguette, plus a gift card for future visits!

What exactly is a color explosion? It’s hard to explain, but
we can tell you that it’s very close to a double rainbow, and it all went down
this past Thursday night! Palette At Arts District, Hyattsville’s new premiere
apartment homes, opened it’s swanky modern doors to a spectrum of colorful
Elites to detonate Yelp’s Color explosion.
Main festivities were held in the community room, filled
with pool table, bar, and tons of food and drink. Hyattsville’s own Spice 6 was there, which serves modern
Indian cuisine prepared and customized to your taste right in front of
you. This hyper fresh cuisine includes their
fresh naan pizza and savory rice bowls. Ingredients include everything from their house made paneer
cheese, scratch made naan and scratch made yogurt.
Famed Busboys and Poets laid out huge platters of mini
Reuben, turkey, and chicken salad sandwiches. Elite’s also got to taste a
perfect impression of tuna with their vegan tuna canapé. Not too mention their wonderful hummus, pita, and fresh veggies. Popchips came in to lay out a rainbow
of colorful flavors including their delicious and healthy sourcream and chive,
sea salt, and playfully named Katy Perry’s kettle corn. St. Killians provided Elites with an
amazing thirst quenching alcoholic ginger beer and a complex cirtrus flavored
While each of our colorful guest’s filled up, they were
invited to add to a communal canvas that was provided by ArtJamz- a studio in
the area where you can pick up a canvas and a drink anytime and paint the night
away. Pinkies Lash Boutique highlighted
eyes with glittery color and a touch of fairy magic with their bright eye
shadow make over. While all of
this was going on, guests took
notice of local artist DJ Garett spinning tracks that had color in the album,
artist, or song name.
A scavenger hunt around the complex and businesses Spice 6
and Busboys and Poet’s emptied the community room quickly as Yelper’s got to
see the apartments inside the building. Apartments that have everything from
Ipod docks in the living rooms, brick accent walls, laundry in the unit, large
garden size bathtubs, built in shelving, and access to amenities like a large
gym, art studio, pet spa, pool, and large rooftop. A group of six
finished the scavenger hunt in record time claiming VIP tickets
to the National Harbor Beer & Crab Festival. Palette raffled off a prize to
one lucky Elite to have a two night stay in the guest suite at the

TLT food stands for "The Lime Truck,"winner of The Great Food Truck Race Season 2 on the Food Network. Their very first brick and mortar, opened in the heart of Westwood and hosted 100 Elites for a taste of All Things Lime!
Greeted at the door by Pali Wine Co., guests were offered a glass of the sauvginon blanc, or two different reds. Guests sat together community style and braced themselves for the six plus courses that were about to come out of the kitchen.
Things started off strong with the signature Brussels sprouts topped with prosciutto, garlic, chipotle honey aioli, cotija cheese and pickled red onion. Michelle K shares, "one of my favorites for sure. It was a daily special and immediately made me a fan of TLT Food!" Followed by wings that Matthew T raved about: "I really enjoyed the Spicy Sambal Wings which packed a nice spicy punch
that you could cool off with jicama strips and of course a wedge of
lime." Next was blistered bok choy with peanuts and sesame seeds and then their incredibly pork belly nachos. Rosalind C couldn't get enough. "My favorite dish had to be the pork belly nachos....man oh
man, the cheese sauce, the salsa, the salty sweet pork belly and the
fresh chips were amazing! I know what I'll be trying on my next visit!"
What's an event without dessert?! Sharon H admits, "If I really had to pick, the panko crusted nutella with bananas stole
the night for me. Although it was more of a french toast than a dessert,
I absolutely loved the concept and the textures and sweetness level was
perfect. I'd return to TLT for that alone! But, of course, the rest of
the dishes on TLT's menu are also beckoning me back for a second visit."
Owner and founder Daniel Shemtob gave a touching talk to end the night and shared how important Yelp Elites have been for him in growing his business.

Tucked away below Seattle's famous Pike Place Market and sharing the infamous Seattle Gum Wall, at Unexpected Productions you can sure expect to laugh. A lot!
This lovely theater plays host to Seattle's longest running improv act. In fact, here you can find performances of improvisational theatre, Theatresports even improv festivals, as well as improv classes, corporate training, and of course Yelp Elite Events!
With nearly 220 people packed into their seats this comedy troupe hosted what's got to be the funniest, most brilliant improv show we've seen yet. Incorporating Yelp specific humor into the show, inviting guests from the audience to participate, and even handing out prizes like bottles of champagne, free tickets to see more shows, t-shirts, and more - it was an event to remember.
Let's not forget the free popcorn, the free cocktails, and the free after-party that included yet another improv act.
Thursday over 100 Yelp elites gathered for a Chic Peek of IPO inside the W
Chicago City Center Hotel. Although it was one of the hottest days of the
year the trendy vibe provided the scene with a significant amount of cool to
remedy the weather.
Guests gained access to creativity
in the form of cocktail with their Metropolitan and Lemongrass/Pineapple
concoctions. They also sipped select wines from the extensive
list while sampling signature shared-plates from chef Trevor Hoyte’s New Urban
Menu. Between the seared
scallops, veal cutlets, banana and nutella desserts and the
superb W staff members who provided service each and every attendee left with a
true taste of the W brand hospitality.
In addition to amazing food and drink party goers took away Yelp Elite socks to
show off around town while one lucky yelper will receive tickets to the Tomato Blast for
winning a picture posting raffle. Congrats to blank!
