Spring has sprung in Chicagoland and while our fingers are crossed for fewer showers and plentiful flowers, we couldn't see the harm in sweetening the spring season all that much more with the highly-anticipated Mediteranean Elite event at Rosemont's Fresco 21 (Like/Follow them on Official, Facebook, Twitter).
In anticipation of Fresco 21's new spring menu (out May 1st), Chicago Burbs Elites came out in full force for Chef de Cuisine Cameron Grant's finest and freshest Mediterranean fare, including such bite-highlights as Moroccan Harissa Rubbed Hanger Steak w/ Goat Cheese, Farro Tabouleh Salad, Chorizo Puff Pastry Bites, English Pea & Cumin Puree, Manchego Empanada w/ Romesco Sauce, Curried Chicken, Artichoke, Yogurt, Feta, & Cilantro Pizza, and more!
Mixing and mingling amongst Fresco's contemporary coolness, Elites sipped a collection of wine from Oliver Winery (Like/Follow on Facebook, Twitter) , Woodlan Pass IPA from Henry Weinhard's (Follow on Facebook), the Spanish-guitar stylings of Joel Nadal of The Roaring .22s (Yelp Rocks The Roundhouse), the ever-amazing Andres D was on hand to snap pics-a-plenty while a pasta-making tutorial was in full swing.
Along with Fresco's famously fresh menu, every attendee received a gift bag stuffed with the fruits of Fresco 21's menu including, in-house, handmade caramel-stuffed chocolates, candied nuts, a gift certificate good for a future visit and the debut of the exclusive 2013 Elite schwag item, socks!
Check out all the 5-star reviews here along with the video blog and photos from the event, care of Andrés DeLeón (Like/Follow him on Facebook, Twitter, Official, Flickr, YouTube) and NEEDGRAPHICS.COM (Facebook, Twitter).
Thanks to all the Elites who were able to attend Yelp's Spring Awakening at Fresco 21 and a HUGE thanks to Chef Cameron Grant and the whole crew over at Fresco 21!
Until next time,
