(Swing) Swing, Swing With The Yelp GTA Elites @ The Golf Lounge
Tuesday night, the hottest new indoor golf simulator in the GTA, The Golf Lounge, welcomed Yelp Greater Toronto Area Elites and their guests to Yelp’s Swingin Soiree. Located conveniently in Richmond Hill, Elites were pleased that this event didn’t require a long drive!
Par 1 – Nothing says a round of golf better than a couple of cold ones and Elites were privy to the frosty cream of the crop this evening as they got to sample Erdinger and Erdinger Light courtesy of McClelland Imports. Edwin A "liked the Erdinger Light it was smooth without an overly bitter aftertaste." In addition, ole CM Kris had a super secret surprise up his sleeve and invited The GlenLivet Single Malt Scotch Whiskey to do a tasting of their 12 and 15 year varieties. "The highlight of the evening was the Glenilvet Scotch. It was amazing learning so much about single malt whisky from a real Scotsman and a passionate scotch connoisseur" recapped Ehsan F.
Par 2 – Eating on the green can be rough, so Elites got to enjoy a variety of snacks courtesy of the legendary Pancer’s Deli Emporium. Elites had the chance to dig into a variety of sand-wedges which Henry P tells us was a mix of "Pastrami and corned beef goodness, turkey and tuna burgers all very tasty and fresh from Pancer's Deli." Paired with a taste of their delicious potato salad and or homemade coleslaw, Elite tummies were kept full to the brim! In addition to the scrumpuous sammy’s and sides, golf ball shaped cake pops were provided by Bite Me Bakery to make the nights theme a real slice! Roma M recalls that "the golf ball tee cake pops from Bite Me Bakery were so trippy and incredibly tantalizing! I had to tell a few shocked faces, that they were actually real."
Par 3 – While the food and drink were tops the real star of the evening was The Golf Lounge, as they helped to run fun golf games all night long. Tony F took home a top prize for winning the Longest Drive contest, while Edwin A and Dishan W won honorable mentions for their prowess on the pitch and ability to get closest to the pin (to win!)
Along with thanks to all the partners involved who helped to make tonight’s event a real ball, the biggest thanks of all goes out to the GTA-team themselves, the Greater Toronto Area Elite Squad! And of course we couldn’t prove tonight’s awesomeness without the stellar snaps courtesy of our new Yelp GTA photographer, Ms. Frankih K!!
