The deVille Is In The Details In Calgary

Posted by Wendy

The setting April sun flooding through the large floor to ceiling windows at the new deVille Luxury Coffee & Pastries location in Bridgeland kicked off our April Elite event in Calgary! Nearly 80 of Yelp Calgary's savviest and trendiest locals gathered to sip and sample the eats and sips the fine folks at deVille prepared for us last night.

Deville 1
"Maple glazed duck legs? That is off the hook," said Kent V of the steaming platters of duck circulating the room. While the White Truffle Hummus was the standout dish for Bonnie H, "I don't think I want to eat hummus any other way!" Other items that made the rounds included crab cakes, veggie polenta sliders, bruschetta and some cookies for dessert.

Deville 2
As far as wine choices go, Raissa R indulged in the Painted Wolf Den Chenin Blanc. "It had a lovely texture with a long finish. Lean and light bodied with tropical flavours. It was perfect for my liking!" Second that choice from Christine L who also tipped us off to the "ever changing list of wines by the glass for $6.00. It's a good option if you want to enjoy some wine and good food without the formality of a sit down restaurant."

While guests were wined and dined, Suzie Q Beads was also on the scene doing some wine charm and wire wrapping demonstrations and inviting Yelpers to stop in and say hello at its glitzy and fabulous shop in Inglewood.

Enjoying the stunning event photos? We're throwing out three cheers to last night's event photography, Derek McBurney!

See you at the next event!
