Yelp's March Mixer at MAZA New American Cuisine

Posted by Katie C

It was all about snacks, sips, smokes, and sweets when Yelp Jacksonville paired up with MAZA New American Cuisine and alleyCakes Desserts for the third-ever Jax Elite Event. "I finally visited my first Yelp Elite event and found out what all the fuss is about," admits Michael C. "It turned out to be a good time with great food and people!" Copious cocktails were provided by Cupcake Wine, Concannon, and Cocobon.

MAZA wowed 50+ Yelpers with traditional Mediterranean fare like Hummus, Falafel, Tabouleh, and Grapeleaves before cooking up some out of the box treats like Fried Crunchy Salmon Rolls and Sun Dried Tomato Crostinis. The Atlantic Beach eatery has a new fan in Amanda M, who swears the munchies were "equivalent to Mediterranean meals that I've had in Sicily!"

Local entreprenuer Allison Webb catered to the Elites' sweet tooth with Oreo cake pops, beer-infused cupcakes, and oatmeal-raisin cookies. "I just gotta say YUM!" exclaims Elizabeth M. "I will def be going to alleyCakes whenever she opens her storefront."

Naturally, one of the highlights of Elite Events in our burgeoning Yelp Community is the opportunity to mix and mingle offsite with your fellow Elites. From the photo booth to the hookahs, Yelpers were rubbing shoulders and making fast friends at every turn. "The conversations were interesting, varied and cool," confirms Schuyler B. "I can't wait for the next one!"
