Los Angeles Elite Yelpers Have A Feast At 9021Pho!
LA West and LA East joined forces and hosted events simultaneously at two 9021Pho locations: 9021Pho Westlake Village hosted the LA West Elites and 9021Pho Sherman Oaks hosted the LA East Elites this past Wednesday night for a feast that had many with doggy bags in tow for all the delicious leftovers.
This sit down family style Vietnamese dinner began with a sampling of their best appetizers. Chi T shares, "The appetizer was a sampling of the fresh roll with shrimp, crispy fish
with French aioli, and the vegan spring roll. All three were very good. I
like the tangy French aioli sauce. It's got a little kick to it. The
fresh roll had a lot of fresh veggies. It was a refreshing dish.
Surprisingly, the vegan spring roll was also very tasty!"
The highlight for Flora H? The pho! "We got to pick between the pho bo (sliced beef, meatballs, beef
brisket, onions and cilantro) or the pho ga (chicken breast, onions and
cilantro). They also said that they could make something vegan for the
vegetarians (how's that for accommodating?). Each person got their own
HUGE bowl of pho. I had the pho ga and it was so delish I ate all my
noodles (impressing my table-mates in the process). If I had known there
would be the option to take it home, I might not have stuffed myself
silly, but hey, how often does one get to go to an Elite event?"
Sam L dishes on the entrees, "Next, we were brought out a course which was served family style. There was a lemongrass fish which was very garlic-y in a good way. Also, the sweet chili chicken was very tasty. Crispy and the flavors meshed well together. Yum!"
Anne A expands upon what made this event really special: "Inventive cuisine and excellent service is the top reason to come here as most Vietnamese restaurants, service is non-existent. It is also definitely a place to take those who are new to Vietnamese cuisine or appreciate a more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. I appreciate the attentive service, friendly staff and the kind Vietnamese owner/chef who came over to greet and check on us. I really hope they keep the service levels up as that is what is very important to me when I come back. I always enjoy these Yelp events as I get to meet some nice who share a love of food. We were able to share some of our favorite places to eat in LA."
A special thanks to Aya T for some of the beautiful photos above!
