Phoenix Gets Country at Yelp's Western Adventure!

As the sun set on the range, 1,500 Yelpers threw on their daisy dukes and cowboy boots and gathered at Fort McDowell Adventures for Yelp's Western Adventure. Complete with 26 food and drink sponsors, endless entertainment and even fireworks, this was one wild west shindig not to be forgotten!

Upon arrival, Yelpers were greeted by lanyards with a map of the evening, while DJ Hart Breaks' played lively spins and shuttles chauffeured them into the party. During the shuttle ride, friendly Fort McDowell Adventures' staff gave each Yelper an overview of the two venue party so that they were perfectly prepared when the bus stopped.

The honky tonk evening took place at not one, but two venues! Over at Rosa's Ranch, Yelpers enjoyed a variety of food from sponsors including Casa Ramos, Gift of Cheese, Nothing Bundt Cakes, The Melting Pot, Tom's Thumb Market and Vermont Sandwich Company. In between the bites of delicious samples, Yelpers sipped on beverages from Grand Marnier, Parrot Bay, Red Stripe, Smirnoff Ice Light and water provided by My AZ Kitchen. When they needed to take a break from the food and drink, guests took a ride on the Tequila bus, stopped by Da Rum Bus to relax, sat by the fire pits, listened to the live band, enjoyed a variety of cowboy games such as the seed spitting contest, watched a movie play on the big screen under the stars and won free tickets to the AZ BBQ Festival!

After taking in the sights at Rosa's Ranch, Yelpers stopped by the hot hair balloon for a photo opp and then hopped on a horse drawn wagon for a quick ride under the stars. After their trip, they honky tonked over to La Puesta to continue the festivities!

Thanks to Classic Party Rentals, Yelpers were able to take a seat in the Classic Party Event Rentals Lounge while they took a photo and chatted with Doug Hopkins from the Discovery Channel's Property Wars! While the Michelle Lynn band kept the atmosphere lively with their music and fire pits kept the atmosphere warm and cozy, Yelpers explored all that the venue had to offer. Light bites were provided by Aloha Cakes, Brio Tuscan Grille, Hole-in-the-Wall, Paradise Melts, Searsucker, Sprinkles, Sweeties Candy, Wildflower Bread Company and Zoes Kitchen, all while drinks were flowing thanks to Once Upon A Vine, George Dickel, Cabin Fever, Guinness Black Lager, Smirnoff Ice, Nuero and Jones Soda. In between bites, Yelpers painted a canvas with Art of Merlot, stopped by the Shutterbox photo booth to capture a memory, enjoyed the hookah, got their face painted by Diane, tried their luck at the play black jack table, took a ride on the mechanical bull and even learned how to lasso! Luckily Wrap Arizona, Mike B from AZ Foothills and John Rubalcba Multimedia were there to capture it all on camera!

Before the night was over, the lights went out, the Michelle Lynn band started playing some All-American tunes and a fireworks show lit up the sky!

In one night, we raised $3,000 for the Yavapai Indian Foundations thanks to the generous donations from the Yelpers. A special thank you goes out to Fort McDowell Adventures for hosting the event and to all the Yelpers who joined in on the fun! Read the reviews to hear the Yelper's point of view and be sure to check out the pictures from Wrap Arizona, John Rubalcba Multimedia, Shutterbox photo booth and AZ Foothills!

Until next time,

SYOY!
