Yelp Community Blog: Yelp's Prohibition Protest @ Brio Tuscan Grille

Last Thursday fifty Elite and their glamorous guests smuggled their way into Brio Tuscan Grille for Yelps Prohibition Protest: a night of classic cocktails, Magic, Music and Pasta flipping. This super star group of yelpers showed up dressed to impress and ready to rally!

Matt Mitchell set the party mood with his jazzy guitar while yelpers laughed and gulped down all the fun they could fit into a glass. Meanwhile, Magician Kenny Stewart left everyone in wonder. Dawn K couldn't be more impressed: Kenny "placed two grapes in my hand but suddenly there were three when I opened my hand. This was great! I loved it, and I guess he has so many tricks up his sleeve, I didn't see him doing the same thing twice as he strolled from table to table."

Although we didn't serve bathtub gin at the party, you can bet that yelpers tasted an array of classic cocktails that were the bees knees! Yeeps sipped on an Manhattans, Side Cars, and Moscow Mules. Prohibition who?

Elites noshed on non-stop Italian bites all evening long. Alana J recaps the food spread: "There was super delicious artichoke-spinach dip (which I love), spicy eggplant-shrimp cakes, which I think we my favorite thing there, maragarita pizza, sausage and pepperoni pizza, fried ravioli, shrimp-tinis (shrimp cocktail in a martini glass. It was super cute!), a great burger and a pasta-flipping station." There were Brio Burgers, Beef Carpaccio and Calamari too!

Dressed in everything from flapper dresses, to feathers, beads and suits, anxious yelpers lined up to get their photos taken with new and old friends.

And it wouldn't be an Elite event without a good ol' fashioned Pasta Flipping contest!

Congrats to our costume winners – Tiffany S and Mark -- who took home gift cards to Brio Tuscan Grille. And congrats to our top pasta flipper Shawn O, who also went home with a GC from Brio. No one went home empty handed– Thanks to Brio for giving each a guest a free appetizer card!
