Yelp Perth's Elite Frolic At Perth Festival's Chevron Festival Gardens
Excitement had been mounting for some time as Yelper's anticipation grew for the launch of Perth Festival.
The Perth International Arts Festival is the oldest annual international multi-arts festival in the southern hemisphere and annually offers some of the world's best theatre, music, film, visual arts, street arts, literature and free community events.
After taking in the surrounds of the
visually tantilizing Chevron Festival Gardens and partaking in a drink,
Yelpers headed to the stage to watch indie geniuses The New Mendicants
featuring Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub), and Joe Pernice (Pernice
Brothers). They delved into their hefty back
catalogues and set the perfect chilled sountrack for the balmy evening.
Gracing the stage later in the evening Dirty Beaches took things up a
notch with their dusty stylised sound.
As well as a full dance card of Perth Festival shows, I'm sure all the Yelpers will be heading back to the Chevron Festival Gardens any night they get the chance over the duration of the Perth Festival. After all, there's only a few weeks to bask in these sensational surroundings!
A massive thank you to Anita and everyone at Perth Festival for hosting such a wonderful evening for the Yelp Perth Elite Squad.
See you at the next one and SYOY
