I guess you could say Elites two-stepped their way into 2013. It didn't hurt that the year's premier Elite event centered around country tunes, silky smooth tequila, and some of the finest Texas grub in the South! Last Sunday night at Two Step Restaurant and Cantina helped Kristina M and her fellow Elites realize Sundays aren't just for "laundry and catching up on reading" anymore...
Two Step's "gorgeous, warm, and straight-up Texan" private dining room set the scene for Ash M to feel "instantly comfortable" noshing on offerings such as Frito-crusted fried pickles, Hot N' Crunchy Chicken on a Stick, and pulled pork sliders with creamy jalapeño slaw– all while being serendaded by Texas country crooner Mario Flores & The Soda Creek Band. The tasty finger foods didn't end there. What would a two-step function be without Texas-stye eggrolls? House-smoked sausage, chicken, and brisket rolled in a flaky dough served with red pepper jelly continued the "knock your socks off" theme dubbed by Lara P.
Annie S makes a good point: "Nothing can go wrong when tequila is involved." Well, let's just say it's a good thing this party was only two hours long because Elites made fast friends with Blue Nectar Tequila, used to concoct Two Step's World-class, ultra-fresh margaritas. This liquid silver was so tantalizing, it literally had Elites kissing Gloria C's boots (see below)! For those that enjoy a kick, Tanteo Tequila was on hand with their jalapeño infused tequila turning average Joe margs into a spicy specialty! If hard booze was out of the question, Elites were also offerred beer, wine, or anything else from Two Step's bar menu!
Elites were hankering for the first party of 2013, and we owe all thanks to Two Step Restaurant and Cantina for starting the year off with a big Texas bang! The giggles, boot scootin', and cheers-ing will all go down in history, but don't worry, Parish Photography has provided us with the photo gallery to commemorate the good times!
