"Jingle Bowl, Jingle Bowl, Jingle all the way...
Oh what fun it was to bowl in place called Memory Lanes..."
Jasmine B never finished her epic Christmas carol, but she's right—the bowling reindeer and hot toddies were ever so delightful this week at Yelp's Jingle Bowl!
This year, we celebrated our holiday Yelper shindig at the wonderful Memory Lanes in South Minneapolis, which hooked everybody up with all-you-can-bowl deals, proscuitto-wrapped tots, pizza bagels and more. This bowling alley is a neighborhood favorite for a good reason.
Not only did we have a jolly good time, but we also collected a huge sleighful of charitable donations for Sharing & Caring Hands. Seriously, Intern Lauren almost couldn't fit everything in the car.
Our pals at 2 Gingers Whiskey and Crispin brought plenty of good cheer with winter warmers beverages like complimentary Big Gingers, Hot Clauses (apple cider + 2 Gingers), Crispin Original and Fox Barrel Blackberry-Pear Cider. William C said, "The Hot Claus with 2 Gingers was the perfect drink to warm my soul before destroying racks upon racks of bowling pins."
Yelpers also had a chance to decorate Yelp's Yuletide Gingerbread Village with Intern Tameka. Stephanie K said, "I am a candy and arts & crafts addict, so the gingerbread house table was right up my alley. It was REALLY hard not to eat all the supplies."
Brand new to Minneapolis this year, we were so excited that Snap Yourself could make it to the party too. The friendly Melissa and Jason invited everybody into what was basically a high-tech holiday photo playground. Check out all the crazy shots from the photo booth here, as well as party pictures by Emmerlee Photography on Flickr!
Thanks so much for everyone who attended and donated—and a big thanks to our sponsors at Memory Lanes, 2 Gingers, Crispin and Snap Yourself who helped make the night so merry and bright! If you were there and would like to send our sponsors some love, feel free to review the event on the Jingle Bowl listing. As with all official Yelp events, we ask that you wait to review the sponsors on their business pages until you've had a more genuine customer experience.
Yelpy holidays to all!
