London Yelpers Have A Deadly Adventure At The Grant Museum
Now, whatever you do, don’t be alarmed.
Yes, The Grant Museum of Zoology is filled with wonders – some amazing, some terrifying and some terrifyingly amazing. You’ll see the skeletons of Dodo Birds, preserved animals big and small in glowing jars, an elephant’s skull peeing at you across the room and all other manors of creature. But you’re with Yelp, so you’ll be safe… and possibly a little tipsy.
London Yelpers were invited into The Grant for a night of Pre-Halloween tricks and treats at Yelp’s Deadly Adventure.
“This museum is certainly the most unique and coolest place to host a Yelp party that I've attended. It is full of curios everywhere - the rarest skeleton in the world (a zebra with no stripes), four skeletons hanging out in the balcony (you have to guess which of them is the human), a deer skull with huge antlers, various brain specimens,” Yee Gan O exclaimed. “It definitely has an 'Indiana Jones' wild feel to it.”
And of course, because it was a Halloween Party, Yelpers were encouraged to come in wild jungle adventure attire or as mad scientist… or anything else they so desired.
So those were the tricks, but the night had an equally amount of treats. Yelpers sipped on amazing gingeral and luxury gin cocktails from Brockman’s Gin and got energized with a bit of React Energy Drink and a crazy chopstick game.
“Thanks for the goody bag, hottie from React! I was fairly impressed with my score of 37 balls in with chopsticks,” Sunny K cheered. “And the gin was surprisingly smooth and something I will buy for our alkie collection.”
No Halloween Party is complete without candy, of course, and Black River Chocolates were on hand to sample some of their amazing rum sweets. How were they, Namita A? “Dark, rich and delicious.” Actually sounds like the night as a whole.
A event full of witch-ful thinking and ghoulish fun. What more could a Yelper want? “This was an outrageous amount of fun, from being in the perfect venue for a Halloween party, to the friendly vendors who provided ample swag, and of course, all the awesome yelpers who showed up,” Eliza D wrote. “It's official: being on the yelp elite squad is the coolest thing ever.”
But don’t take our word for it. Check out all the reviews right here as well as the amazing pics by photographers Jennifer Santolla and Natalya Spicker on the offical Yelp Flickr page.
Until next time,
