Yelp Perth's Evening At Outré Gallery
On last night’s balmy spring evening 40 Yelpers came together at Outré Gallery in Northbridge. Outré’s approach is one that breaks the typical gallery mood, showcasing limited edition prints and posters as well as the best hard-to-get books, magazines, curios and mid-century inspired ceramics.
After perusing the fresh selection of original artworks, Yelpers made a beeline towards the gorgeous husband & wife team of House of Cards Wines. Driving up from Margret River for the night to tell us all about their 2011 Queen of Diamonds sparkling, 2012 Joker Sauvignon Blanc and their 2011 Joker Cabernet Merlot. These handcrafted single vineyard wines were thoroughly enjoyed.
Catering newcomers TJ’s Kitchen had heads turning from the art to their street style Mexican food. Though their slow cooked chipotle and tamarind pork tostadas and Mexican street corn won hearts, the real show stealer was the spicy pineapple sprinkled in the their hot homemade candy.
A massive thank you to Dee, Nat & Gemma at Outré Gallery for putting on such an enjoyable evening. Also to TJ’s Kitchen who without a doubt left Yelpers daydreaming of their Mexican Treats today. And of course to Liz and Travis at House of Cards Wine for pouring their delicious wines all evening.
