Yelp Baltimore's Elite Afternoon at Capital Grille
Yelp Baltimore Elites kept it classy in their Sunday finest with an afternoon of exceptional appetizers, flavorful wines, and mixing and mingling in one of the city's most impressive restaurants: The Capital Grille. "Yelp's Elite Afternoon was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon and unwind from the work week," Nichole B sighs as she sips.
Syreeta B seconds the emotion: "This event was so metropolitan chic. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile by one of the managers, who then whisks you away to a private dinning room reserved for the privy. Once inside the cozy, richly-decorated room, you are given a choice of red or white wine," pineapple-vodka cocktails, and grapefruit soda and lemonade.
Of course, samples from the "fall plates" menu where the stars of the afternoon. From tenderloin sandwiches, lobster sliders, and prosciutto and mozzarella bites, to butternut squash soup garnished with thinly sliced and fried shiitake mushrooms, each plate presented was more mouth-watering than the next.
"But the best part was the chef's demo," exclaims Dan A. "The food was great and all... but as someone who loves cooking, this was just way cool." Elites learned everything from the different cuts of meat to what rubs each should be seasoned with. "We even got to talk to Chef Matthew Jaffe later on and he was just down-to-earth, knowledgable, and all-around cool guy."
Attention by the staff ranked high with Modyssey G as well: "Everyone was friendly and extremely accommodating; they were genuinely concerned about making sure each and every person had a positive experience."
Part of that positive experience was a token gift bag at the end of the event which included a sampling of the rubs Elites fell in love with, chocolate truffles for any lingering sweet-tooth cravings, and an invite to come back and experience even more of what Capital Grille has to offer. From all the great reviews of the event, something tells me they will be back in a flash!
