Sacramento Elites Enjoy Some Old Fashioned Irish Hospitality!
Over 100 Sacramento Elites quickly discovered on Saturday that they don't need to travel across the Atlantic to enjoy the welcoming warmth of a classic Irish Pub. Instead, they ventured to the heart of their home city for Three Cheers, Beers & De Vere's Irish Pub, where round upon round of drinks and generous plates of food proved that the Irish know how to party!
From the moment they walked in, each guest was greeted by proud owner Henry De Vere and his hard-working staff. With Irish tunes from the likes of The Pogues, U2, Dropkick Murphy's and more as their soundtrack, folks bellied up to the bar for two free rounds of their choice of Firestone DBA, Lagunitas IPA, Smithwick's Irish Red Ale, their Gold Rush cocktail, Irish coffee, famous "wee ginger" cocktail or straight whiskey in true Irish fashion. All the whiskey drinks were made with Tullamore Dew, a smooth sipping Irish staple. The drinks kept flowing after the initial buzz as all featured drinks continued to be on sale for $3!
Of course, a party would be nothing without plenty of great food, and it goes without saying that the expert old country chefs in Henry's kitchen delivered. Heaping plates of farm-to-table pub fare came flowing out into the crowd, including Irish bangers, smoked salmon, house sausage, mac n' cheese, buttered pretzels with pimento beer cheese and mustard, lamb sliders, olives, cured meats and De Vere's Irish brown bread.
But that's not all. Each guest that wore green was automatically entered into a raffle for some fabulous prizes. Yelpers won $25 gift cards in pint glasses, free lifetime whiskey society memberships that include exclusive tastings and discount drinks, and the grand prize - a basket with a gift card, t-shirt, pint glass and bottle of Tullamore Dew!
We'll leave the final recap to Joe K: "This had to have been one of my favorite elite events. The food kept pouring out of the kitchen and the wonderful Irish whiskey drinks kept flowing along with the beer. I kept my indulgence to a minimum but I did love the smoked salmon, pretzels, and an Irish coffee. The staff at De Veres was outstanding and it was a huge privilege getting the opportunity to meet 'Sir' Henry De Vere. What really makes events like this special is the other elite yelpers. I never cease to be amazed at how wonderful your company really is!"
