Paddles Ready! Yelpers In Calgary Take Up Table Tennis

Having a hard time with Hump Day? No longer! On Wednesday, the Elites of Yelp Calgary and our guests took up arms in the form of ping pong paddles for Wimbledon Wednesday at Commonwealth Bar & Stage!

Yelpers were treated to menu samplings from the in-house Cafeteria, bourbon lemonade made with Maker's Mark and good ol' PBR (did you know it's 168 years old?) while helping table tennis make a comeback!

James C notes, "With snack foods and drinks, table tennis is a no brainer. This is a great location to meet and greet. Yet another place for me to mingle in Calgary." Christine L kept herself well fueled between matches and "particularly enjoyed the corn dogs and tomato basil bocchini." 

And Angelo T adds, "Wow, so glad I discovered Wimbledon Wednesdays. Wednesdays are the new Fridays, making Thursdays the new Saturdays, making Fridays and Saturdays the old...I forgot where I was going with this but I'll be back to check out Commonwealth's ping-pong Wednesdays! Also got a great workout from chasing those ping pong balls....(that's what she said)."

Tip: Heads! Every level of table tennis player comes out for Wimbledon Wednesday. There are no guarantees those balls will be staying on the table.

This looks really fun. Does it have unique signs calgary on the walls? I remember a place that looked a little like this that I went to but there were lots of signs on the walls...
