Yelp Tucson Elites Sip N Savor Local Flavor @ Epazote Kitchen + Cocktails

Last week, Tucson Elites and their guests gathered for an evening of divine gourmet eats, drinks and surprises at Yelp's Sip N Savor Local Flavor Elite event at Epazote Kitchen + Cocktails located at the Hilton El Conquistador. Guests were greeted by some rather tall, colorful dames and escorted to the outdoor soiree! Per Michael F, it was a night of "great atmosphere, wonderful weather, women on stilts, lights, sangria, tequila, and amazing food."

As elites and their guests made their way to the patio they were met with food stations galore! Live music by Rumbo Nuevo  set a whimsical tone on the patio and red and white sangria was poured while guests enjoyed firsts, seconds and thirds at various food stations. For Molly H, there "was no time to waste as the tasting stations beckoned me with cool crisp salads and a warming green chile pork stew. A rich, decadent short rib perched on goat milk mashed potatoes gave new meaning to comfort food. The chefs manning the tables were gregarious and generous."

Yelpers couldn't get enough of the mouth-watering delights. Cindy N loved it all– Everything from the ceviche, to the pork stew, short ribs, seared mountain trout, the salad and desserts was "pure melt in your mouth delight."  While, Aaron G "wouldn't mind filling up the hotel pool" with the green chili pork "and jumping right in,Jenny Y left her heart at the dessert station: "The pecan cheesecake completed my sampling and I think I fell in love!" Southern Wine and Spirits poured Patron Tequila all night long. XO Cafe was the popular choice according to Joshua B. "Who would have thought that coffee flavored Patron would be so good? I wish I had gotten second on that one before they ran out!" What can we say, yelpers were thirsty!

Not only were Elites treated to first-class bites, beverages and entertainment, but they also had a chance to show their creative flare during a mask decorating contest for a chance to win a one-night stay at the the El Conquistador Resort, a dinner for two at Epazote Kitchen + Cocktails or a pair of tickets to the World Margarita Challenge! Three lucky yelpers each took home a prize while the rest of the yelpers were a glittery mess!Epazote Mask Making Collage

An Elite event wouldn't be complete without a SURPRISE! Just as yelpers thought the evening was coming to an end, a The Orbital Evolution Hoop Troupe stepped in with a mesmerizing LED hula-hoop performance

Last but not least, Elites spent the evening mingling, catching up and getting to know new members of the Elite squad!

A huge thanks to the entire team at Epazote Kitchen + Cocktails and the marketing team at the Hilton El Conquistador for a gorgeous and decadent evening and for truly going above and beyond in every way. Another enormous thanks to Southern Wine and Spirits for pouring tequila all night long, to Rumbo Nuevo for their whimsical guitar entertainment, Orbital Evolution: Hula Hoop Troupe for a brilliant performance and to Pedro Romano of Pedrographer for capturing it all on camera!

And yes, I woke up with glitter in my hair from mask-making, but a smile on my face from Bella and the crew at Epazote who pampered us to delicious excess! Saba B, Tucson Elite Member.
