Yelp Baltimore Elites Toast on the Terrace @ Mr. Rain's Fun House!

Yelp Baltimore said farewell to summer and sent off the season in style with one last sayonara: "Yelp's Toast on the Terrace" at the always-amazing, Mr. Rain Fun House located in the mirrored-wonder that is the American Visionary Arts Museum

Known for its perchant to boggle the mind and overload the senses, AVAM proved a fitting, like-minded home for Mr. Rain's by the end of the night. The "ambiance is kind of a mix of quirk and class," says newly-Elited Robby B of the restaurant. "The balcony where our event took place had a great view and the weather was splendiferous." Kris L co-signs: "We sat next to a boar head decorated in neon crystals. Def a unique experience worthy of the yelp elite! FAB-U-LOUS"

While Rachel S enjoyed "a cornucopia of charcuterie, pickled peppers, kimchi, and crunchy toast-points that started the night off," it was the "succulent, fresh-off-the-spit roast pig" that stole the show.

"The adobo marinaded pork was delicious," says Michelle H, who was looking forward to trying some of Mr. Rain's Filipino-inspired dishes, being half Filipino herself. "I love that their adobo recipe was soy and vinegar based (as opposed to coconut milk based), so the pork had that wonderful (not too overly) sour flavor while being tender and juicy."

The only thing she loved more was walking away a winner of six bottles of sparkling wine thanks to Segura Viudas Spanish cava wines! Not only did they provide "refreshing Brut Reserva and Bruit Rose to quench our thirst, but they also came up with some unique activities, such as a prize wheel and a little scavenger hunt for keys to unlock a chest to win a prize," she explains. "I have to admit I was determined to hunt down one of those keys - and surprisingly it paid off - thanks to my +1's key!"

While Ida L "enjoyed both selections," the Brut Reserva made her a new fan of dry sparkling wine.

And who can forget about the DJ: Elite Yelper Jordan K aka  DJ iRock Jays of the DigiLog Crew. Accompanied by DJ Ro and DJ Stress, Joseph K appreciated that the "music wasn't overpowering. Nice enough to bob (his) head to. Sick mixes."

Fitting for one heck of a night out before the parties move indoors for fall.

Until our next rad ride...
