Yelp's Beer Bonanza @ Peckham's!
The night was Thursday. The liquid was beer. The rest of the
details will trickle down as we go along… With the second
annual Glasgow Beer Week
descending upon us like a big ol foamy god-like-festival of all that is
awesome about the current Scottish/Glaswegian beer movement, t’was decided that
Yelp and it’s fine Yelpers would get in on the act. Far from being adverse to
sampling fine ales/lagers/ stouts and what not, Yelpers have taken to the
Glasgow Beer Week like a drunken duck to a lake of beery goodness and with an
event of there own, have showed one and all that Yelp, like Glasgow Beer Week
is about quality over quantity.
The venue was Peckham’s. The beers came from Innis &
Gunn and Stewart Brewing. The food from Piece. We shall continue. With a range
wider than a ned sporting a new trackie, the tip top tipple providers from
Innis & Gunn once more took aim at our taste buds and once more blew them
away with some outstanding brews.
Not to be outdone on the beer front, the fantastic Stewarts
Brewery rolled up with a mixed bag of magnificent brews. From the Radical Road to the Coconut Porter, each beer offering veteran and newbie Yelpers alike, an insight into the
complexity and differing range of beers now doing the rounds!
With the bevvy of brews swirling around in the old belly, it
was the job of the impeccable Piece to help peeps soak up some of the liquid
spendour. As ever, the Lauckner and Moore combo fired out some fiendishly fine
….. for the bounty of beered up punters in attendence to chow down on.
Beer was dranked. Food was munched. Randon banter was had. Fun.
