Halifax Elites Meat 'N Greet @ Yelp's Burger Bash!

Halifax Elites sure know how to make the most of September! Piling into the newly arrived Relish Gourmet Burgers, fifty of our finest grabbed back-to-school by the buns at Yelp's Burger Bash! With custom burgers, local brews, and pong prizes up for grabs, Halifax was hopping. Well, until the food comas hit, at least...

Peter B found it one educational evening, enjoying a tableside chat with the owner "about how the food is all made in house from the burgers, veg, turkey, and beef to the sides." That's right! From the cabbage, apple and sesame seed coolslaw to the walnut pesto, this party's spread was fresh to death, baby. Duo-Elites Meegan D and Tara M "liked the onion ring samples so much we ordered some extra of our own for the table." But when Meegan goes back "for the veggie burger, it's the sweet potato fries with the garlic mayo dip that win my heart."

Not distracted by circulating sides, Melanie M bit into the feature burger designed just for our city: the Halifax Explosion, of course! "It was ah-mah-zing. I can't remember all the toppings, but habanero-dusted pineapple, curried onion frites, pancetta, and the signature fresh relish were highlights." Meanwhile, Meghan W took a bite of the Big Texas: "You know how sometimes you order a burger with great toppings but there aren't enough? Not here, I got crunchy onions and bacon with every bite and enough BBQ sauce to drip down my fingers."

Of course, Elites needed something to wash down all that goodness. Kim H and guest Toni took no time to find the beer table: "The beer + cozies were a great touch too - made it feel like a bbq with friends. Needless to say I know the boy appreciated this - where there is beer, he will appear." Cheers to that!
