Yelp Sydney Makes Elites An Offer They Can't Refuse!

Last night Yelp made its Sydney Elites an offer they couldn’t refuse with a pop-up Elite Event short on notice and big on fun. This was real guerrilla stylez: no banners, no speeches, just a money-can’t-buy experience for our intrepid Elites – an exclusive 12 hour movie marathon of Francis Ford Coppola's legendary The Godfather trilogy, in a private Gold Class cinema no less!

Gfather 1

There’s a special kind of pleasure that comes from settling into a recliner and looking up at a giant Marlon Brando when most people are just starting their work day. And then tucking into a lunch buffet that included pulled pork sliders with harissa mayo, mini BBQ pork buns, arancini balls, spring rolls, and bruschetta tartlets while nursing a chamomile tea.

Gfather 2

A bunch of Yelpers fortified themselves with beer and wine before the intense dramatic epic that is The Godfather Part 2 – midday equals booze o’clock, right?! – while the bad boys and girls in the back row practiced their gang fingers.

Gfather 3

Yelpers tucked into gigantic popcorn bowls to kick off Part 3, which was notable for 2 things in particular: the recurring incest theme and Diane Keaton’s abject refusal to wear a bra. Mid-way through came tasting plates served at personal tables inside the cinema, followed by a smashed ice cream sundae for dessert.

Gfather 4

And who was the last man left standing after such an epic day? Yelpers have the stamina of wildebeest because almost everyone that started the day saw it through to the end, a phenomenal effort!

Special thanks to our super Elite Angela Y for the fancy photographs. Want more?

Until next time, SYOY!

Darn that looks like a great day!
Gutted I haven't made an event yet, but it will happen!
Go hard, Elites.
