Yelp's Rockin' Patio Party @ Lockdown Bar and Grill

What's the best way to celebrate the end of a record-setting heatwave, Chicago-style? With burgers, beer, and patio time, of course! 50 lucky Elites arrived at Lockdown Bar and Grill for a rockin' summer evening on the back patio. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with buckets of bottled Lagunitas brew chilling on ice and a delicious spread of appetizers. Being on "lockdown" never tasted this good as everyone noshed on the Prison Yard (mussels braised in coconut curry sauce), Barb'd Wire (a spicy four-cheese chorizo sauce served with fresh made tortilla chips), Chain Gang (buttermilk battered onion rings), and fried pickles.



It didn't just end there! Known for their mammoth specialty 10oz. certified Angus beef burgers, our gracious hosts let each guest order whatever they wanted off the menu. With offerings like Border Patrol (pepper jack, spicy roasted peppers, carnitas, avocado), Cruelty to Animals (bacon, prosciutto, carnitas), and the strange combination of bacon, banana, and peanut butter on a burger known as the Jailhouse Rock, choosing was not an easy task. And when the sides involve bacon mac'n'cheese and mounds of hand-cut fries, polishing off the plate was no small feat either. But who else but our elite squad would be up to the challenge?
