Yelp Manhattan's 50 Shades of Brunch Elite Event @ Gemma

Though scientists have deduced from descriptors in the best-selling work of smut art that this man is Christian Grey, Yelp Elites left the whips and hand cuffs at home in favor of summery treats refreshing libations at the Bowery Hotel's Gemma. 

Gemma is a bright and breezy all-day eatery channeling the bold tastes of Italy... and on this past lazy Saturday, Elites had a chance to dive into an array of piquant brunch bites that served as the perfect midday snack. Notable potables that made the rounds included Seared Yellowfin Tuna on Flatbread with Lemon Aioli, Asparagus wrapped with Prosciutto di Parma, Truffled Robiola Pizza Squares, Grilled Organic Chicken Skewers with Rosemary, Grilled Shrimp Skewers, Buffalo Ricotta and Pesto, and Black Olive Tapenade with Goat Cheese. In the immortal words of Rachel Ray -- Yumo!

To wash it all down on the sultry afternoon, party goers enjoyed warm weather respite in the form of house curated cocktails like the Zenzero (limoncello, Canton, fresh mint, lemon), the classic Aperol Spritz (Aperol, prosecco, splash of soda), and the Fragola (Fragoli wild strawberry liqueur, prosecco). It was like giving your insides a cold, alcoholic shower from the inside out!
