Pittsburgh Loves A Generous Pour @ The Captal Grille
A generous pour indeed! On Sunday, Pittsburgh Elites were treated to an afternoon delight of sipping and savoring at Yelp's Generous Pour Elite Event at The Capital Grille to celebrate their ongoing special summer event.
"Really, folks...what says 'you're welcome here' more than being greeted at the door with a glass of sparkling Italian rosé?" commented Linda W. "The smiling staff of The Capital Grille handed each and every Yelper a lovely flute of bubbly before we even walked into the event! It certainly set the tone for the rest of the classy afternoon." From Lunetta Rose to Gary Farrell to Conn Creek Anthology plus six other wines, guests were treated to an education on pairing select wines with specific dishes. Fancy!
The restaurant spared no expense at treating Yelpers to a delicious spread of grilled veggies, tuna tarter cucmber slices, lobster sliders and sweet treats such as their signature creme bruleé. "The cheeses were excellent, the St Andre and the L'essence du Fromage Rouge Affinee were both gourmet treats." exclaimed David B. "The two most memorable wines were the French Bordeax and the Slovenian Rebula." Afficianado for sure!
Everyone left with a gift bag of goodies plus lucky winner Phyllis K won a drawing for a gift card worth $200, so buddy up with PK and maybe she'll share the wealth! Heidi S reminices "Let's just say I was inspired by the GENEROUS Pour. It's hard to find anything wrong with drinking well selected wines on a Sunday afternoon in a dining room outfitted like the lodge of a robber baron with a crowd of elite yelpers. And the service was truly elite. The Capital Grille's opulent investment in the fine dining concept appears to have earned them their namesake."
A big thank you to The Capital Grille GM Rick McMaster and the amazing staff at for treating Yelpers to an increidbly swanky afternoon! Also, thanks to Ray Miles Photography for the fab photo's that you can check out here.
