Chicago Elites Celebrate Early Oktoberfest @ Prost!

Some people like to celebrate Christmas in July, but what about Oktoberfest? Yelp Chicago put this question to the test by inviting 200 Yelpers to celebrate Oktoberfest a few months ahead of time at Prost! Our verdict? Early Oktoberfest is going to be the next big thing! Recently revamped and expanded, upon entering Prost! party goers and their guests were instantly transported from a sweltering Chicago summer day to a German beer hall, complete with dark wooden communal tables and benches. The staff, decked out in colorful dirndls, welcomed everyone by serving up 5 featured German Beers: Grieskirchner Pils, Bitburger Pils, Radeberget Pils, Erdinger Hefe Weiss, and Krostritzer Schwarzbier. For the non-beer drinkers, Prost! crafted up a beer cocktail named "Autumn Sky": a blend of Skyy Vodka, Grieskircher Pilsner, Clove Simple Syrup, Lemonade, Flimm Echte Bruehler Pflaume Plum-Liqueur, and Fresh Thyme. We'll raise our stein to that! Prost!

All that beer can't be guzzled with a few snacks, right? Prost! served up some tasty nibbles in the form of: crab cake balls, duck pierogies, beets with goat cheese, crostini topped with sausage and cabbage, smoked salmon and pumpernickel bites, and samplings of their famous soft pretzel with beer cheese.

During the night, staff brought out giant boots of beer that Yelpers happily passed around. Luckily, photographer An Phan was on hand to snap up all the shots and more!
