Charlotte Elites Show Some "Grille!"
Sunday afternoons aren’t only great for naps, you know. Nay! They are perfect for consuming mass quantities of wine and raising your glass high for cheers, and several more generous pours, of course.
Charlotte Elites, in their fantastically chic red and white attire, and their guests happily waltzed to The Capital Grille on a Sunday afternoon for an afternoon soiree of delectables and savvy atmosphere.
Partnering up with The Capital Grille’s “Generous Pour,” Yelpers were greeted with a wonderfully perky sparkling wine upon entering and then on to a menagerie of other fine vintages. Many glasses clinking with cheers, swirling crowds in the wine room and lower dining room, and much sampling of nine different reds and whites made for a happy and wine-fully memorable afternoon. “Pink champagne, light and full-bodied whites, reds that ran from light to fruit-bombs, and a dessert wine that was sweet and bright,” exclaimed Will H. An afternoon fit for the savviest of wine savvies.
Red & White fashion was prime as Yelpers gulped glass after glass. Chad E took the cake with his schmancy rouge upon blanc get-up. “Almost everyone donned red and white and looked fabulous while doing so. Chad totes won the unofficial best dressed contest. Those high tops were SNAZZAY,” declares Sharon S. This biz casual affair was yelpified, no doubt.
The hors d’oeuvres were aplenty and graciously served by The Capital Grille’s masterful staff. Lobster, Tenderloin and Crab Cake Sliders, Chicken Crostinis, Grilled Summer Veggies, Artisinal Cheeses, Porcini Bisque in espresso cups, Tuna TarTare and finished with delectable Crème Brulee and Chocolate Espresso Tartlets painted smiles on all faces and taste buds. Mike C searches for the right words and landed on “the creme brulee for dessert was to die for” and many others could only say the same.
The midday mixer was capped with a drawing for a dinner for two and giftbags for all Yelpers. Many thanks to The Capital Grille and Tonya, Poprock Photography, for making and documenting an event that newly defined “afternoon.” Check out the rest of the reviews here!
Cheers!
