Boston Yelpers Benefit From A Generous Pour at The Capital Grille
Make no miSTEAK, Boston Elites sipped from only the finest vines and snacked on legendary morsels this Sunday night, as The Capital Grille invited a group of Boston's best in the Yelp community to partake in A Generous Pour!
Featuring a list of handpicked wines by George Miliotes, TCG's Master Sommelier, the bounty of Bruts and gaggle of Grüners flowed like... well, you know. From the bright apertif Lunetta Rosé through the Ferrari-Carano Cab to the Kanu Kia Ora Chenin Blanc finish (and all the "Orange Wine" in between), palates were pushed and pleased by the world-class offerings.
But did the spoils end at the vine? Never! A spread of incredible cheeses and roasted vegetables sat ripe for the picking, and pick Amy B did favoring the "red peppers and sundried tomatoes – I think they were pickled in unicorn tears or something equally magical." Of course, it wouldn't be The Capital Grille without tray after tray of perfectly prepared proteins! Steak tartare, smoked chicken crostini and crab & lobster sliders made their rounds to enthusiastic tasters, and the bites wrapped with mini raspberry-topped crème brûlées and flourless espresso chocolate cakes. Check please!
Each guest left the house with a goodie bag listing the night's wines, a Yelp Elite watch and "the best truffles I've ever had in my life," so sez Sally B. And one lucky Yelper won dinner for two back at The Capital Grille (spoiler alert: twas Kelly M!).
Tatsu captured the magic on Flickr and Facebook (Like the page to tag) and the Talk boards continue to buzz as the five-star reviews roll in. Big ups to all who attended, including a very special pair of VIPs who stole the show: my parents!
SYOY!
