A Wonderful Winter Elite Event At X-Wray, Fremantle.
Last night, 20 Yelpers met at X-Wray in Fremantle to have their taste buds pleasured by their new winter menu!
Delicious Mojitios using Mount Gay Rum were muddled and a Tempranillo and Pinot Noir were being poured as the guests arrived.
Whetting appetites were a variety of bread, olives, cheese and cured meats with a few Yelpers wondering where they'd fit the rest after these plentiful and delectable servings!
Our gastronomic journey through Chef Ricky’s scrumptious winter dishes started with a shot glass of wild mushroom soup and was followed by Tuscan roast pork. Next was a favourite on the night; hand-made gnocchi with a simple and fragrant tomato and basil sauce. The recipe was handed down to Ricky from his Nonna. Then came the 6-hour beef cheek with a baby carrot resting on pureed truffled cauliflower, before the finale - succulent Chimichurri Chicken skewers. Then to end the night with something sweet we were treated to homemade biscuits.
A massive thank you to Tex, Ricky and everyone at X-Wray. All attendees were blown away with every delicious dish that come out of the kitchen, the night was really very special.
Thank you to the Elites, Yelpers and guests who came out last night, I know you’re probably still daydreaming about the truffled cauliflower too!
