Yelp Chicago Burbs' Passport To Elmhurst!
Last week, Yelp's Passport to Elmhurst came to a close in Chicagoland as Yelpers wined, dined, shopped and even scavenger hunted through the streets of Elmhurst with one goal in mind: Put the Burst in Elmhurst!
Yelp's Passport to Elmhurst kicked off with a 400+ person bash in benefit of the People for Elmhurst Parks Foundation at Wilder Mansion. Guests could be found wine-ing at Tannins and looked fabulously flushed with Flight 112's reds, whites and cajun crab salad. 100 South kept it classic with Italian sausage and peppers and added a little spice with fan favorite coconut chicken with peach chutney, as CHOW served up special bite-sized sammies, PopChips kept the party poppin' and Elijah's was on hand with white chocolate raspberry scones, fresh java and the hottest ho-cho this side of York Rd. While the main spread was served to you straight from Chef Marco of Elmhurst's infamous Euro-American eatery, Cafe Amano.
The big bash welcomed some big names in beverages with Great Lakes Distillery providing Roaring Dan's Maple Flavored Rum and Rehorst Citrus Honey Vodka (both available at any area Binny's) for some seriously sweet cocktails. While Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka mixed well with both the lemonade and the crowd. SmartWater kept the herds hydrated as Vermont's Woodchuck Cider brought 'the sauce' with the sweetness and IZZE sparkling juices made sure the party didn't fizzle out.
DJs Nikki C and Karl M were live on the 1s and 2s, while up on level 2 of the big bash you could find Effigy Salon styling away with blowouts, hair streaking and more or even sit down, relax, and get loose with Olympia Chiropractic's best for back betterment. Topairy Floral Designs fashioned the flora and fauna for this fab event while ShutterBox Photo Booth flashed bright and created memorable prints (check em out here!) for guests to take home. Moving throughout the mansion and ready to caprture every picture perfect moment we had veteran Yelp photog, Andres D (pics here) along with newcomers Mark S (pics here) and Phocial (images here).
But the Passport to Elmhurst party didn't end after just one night – Yelper's spent the next week touring the town's eclectic array of businesses and cashing in on exclusive passport events and offers from 100 South, Bella Luna Salon, Brain Freeze, Camden Clothing Boutique, Effigy Salon, the Vallette and Downtown Elijah's locations, Elmhurst Historical Museum, Elmhurst Olive Oil Company, Enzee Boutique, Fannie May Candies, Fitz's Spare Keys, Fleet Feet, Flight 112 Wine House, ItsFitness, Just Fun fashions & Accessories, Kie & Kate Couture, La La Land, My Favorite Toy Store, Olympia Chiropractic, Pink Elephant, Pints, Plass Appliance and Furniture, Sakana Japanese Fusion, Smoothie Factory, Tannins, The Runner's Soul, Topiary Floral Designs and Wilder Mansion.
Thanks again, Elmhurst!
