Yelp Hartford Elites Party Parisian Style at La Petite France!
Sure it’s not springtime in Paris, but that didn’t stop Hartford’s finest Francophiles from celebrating Yelp’s French connection! On Thursday evening, Hartford’s Elite Squad escaped the climbing temps by partying like Parisians at La Petite France Bakery and Café. After-hours wine, moustaches, berets, and samplings from the café’s brunch menu proved to be the perfect recipe for summertime merriment. Merci beaucoup to our fabulous hosts at La Petite France! As Lesley Q puts it, the event was nothing short of très magnifique!
French berets and moustaches were out in full force as guests noshed on plate after plate of sweet and savory pastries, éclairs, tarts, croissants, quiches, sandwiches and an array of other café specialties. Dan R was captivated by the freshly baked treats that "kept rolling out in waves. Tray after tray, one more scrumptious than its predecessor." For Madeleine L, “the croque monsieur was possibly one of the best things” she’s ever eaten!
Wine, coffee, conversation and irresistible carbs flowed throughout the evening, and just as Joshua L was enjoying “great food, plentiful drink, good company, lots of new Yelpers, and a wonderful, gracious owner,” all guests were gifted with a loaf of traditional boule bread to take home. “BAM! A loaf of bread! Just like that! Suddenly you're swimming in the riches of whole grains, laughing at those breadless suckers on the outside.” Alicia S agrees, “this event was already rocking but that just sent it over the edge!”
Thanks again to the amazing team at La Petite France, and to Nick Caito Photography for documenting the evening! Scope out the event reviews here and don't forget to peep the pics!
