PVD Elites Get Fired Up @ Providence Coal Fired Pizza!

Can you say, "Pizza!"? Can you say, "Wings!"? Can you say, "Best pizza & wings in the PVD!"? We sure can, cuz over 80 of the PVD's Elites chowed down on the best in town Thursday night at Yelp's Pizza Me, Pizza You! Elite Event at Providence Coal Fired Pizza, which was nothing short of awesome!

"Providence Coal Fired Pizza is great – definitely not your typical pizza joint," and Jamie H can't wait to go back for more of her favorite slice of the night, the "Bianca – cream, onion, extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, ricotta and pecorino. I could live on that pizza!" Outstanding pies came out of the huge coal-fired oven in a storm of scrumptiousness, and included The Rocket (fresh marinara, mozzarella, Pecorino and arugala), house signature The Conrad (roasted onion, sausage, roasted peppers, mozzarella, Pecorino and rosemary), Baby Bella (oyster mushrooms, truffle oil, ricotta and mozzarella cheeses), classic pepperoni and the deliciously simple Margherita.

Joseph D has a "new favorite food: the coal fired wings with sea salt, onion and rosemary." And how could they not be? The little puppies were "out of this freaking world! Salty, smokey and crispy – like the tiniest little perfectly oven roasted chicken, with crispy skin and amazing herby flavor… Like a 2 x 4 to the taste buds!" You said it, buddy! Kisha T's "favorite part of this place is the giant counter that surrounds where all of the magic happens. You can see the oven roaring away as hot, bubbly pizzas magically come out. A lovely sight!"

The signature cocktail - The Mango Fuzz – was a smash along with an extensive beer list including Alagash White and Stone IPA, along with a choice selection of wines. As always, flash master Brad Smith was on the scene, snapping pics of the most memorable moments of this memorable evening and making us all look glamorous, even with wings and pizza dripping from our fingies and faces.

As always, the evening was a smash, and in light of this being the PVD's biggest-ever Elite event, it was a very special night indeed.
