Yelp Denver's 6th Secret Supper - Success at Table 6!
On a steamy June evening, adventurous Denver yelpers ventured into the heart of the city to Table 6, the most recent location for the Secret Supper Club series. The restaurant was ready for the summer season by offering diners a selection of foods fit for an indoor picnic.
To begin the communal meal, our thirsty guests were given a glass Creekside Cellars’ Viognier to whet their palates. The first course had diners munching on fresh bread, biscuits and cornbread with house made salted butter that Karen M warns she will hog: “I do believe that all of the little ramekins of butter ended up empty, in front of me. No apologies here.” No apologies needed. The bread was accompanied by a delicious dill vin salad that nearly all guests raved over.
The main course that followed was replete with summer staples including a grilled vegetable medley, baked beans made with pork jowl and beef bacon, penne mac and cheese with an herbed panko topping and beef brisket. “The brisket? Holy hell, that was good brisket,” proclaims Terry B and we’re inclined to agree.
The dinner was completed by a strawberry almond cake with sweet goat ricotta cheese. Most of our yelpy friends left the restaurant with full bellies and a smile on their faces.
