Melbourne Elite Event: Yelp's Winter Escape To Mexico At Senoritas
Last night 40 Elite Yelpers and their guests descended on Senoritas for an evening of great food, drinks and Mexican fun!
Senoritas is one of Melbourne's latest Mexican hot spots, offering a fantastic tequila selection and food that sings with the authentic flavours of Mexico.
Upon arrival, Yelpers settled in with pear and apple cider from The Hills Cider Company while taking in the striking art work and decorations. Small fried tortillas topped with cactus, green tomato, frijoles, queso fresco and guacamole gave everyone's mouth a preview of what was to follow.
Linus from Herradura then took Yelpers on a tequila journey, matching three tequilas to tasty morsels from the kitchen.
First up, a crab tostada with the Herradura Silver - a clean and smooth tequila that went superbly with the delicate dish. Then it was time for Herradura Reposado and this was matched with a chicken flautas, a crispy rolled tortilla filled with succulent meat.
Finally, a shredded pork taco matched with Herradura Anejo - an earthier tequila aged for two years. The variety in flavours was an eye opening experience for many Yelpers, many vowing to try more tequila and learn about the many varieties available.
