LA East Bow Tie Affair Tuesday at The Virgil

Just your ordinary Tuesday? Not when it concerns the LA East Elite crew, no sir. Instead of just mingling it up at Silver Lake's newest cocktail bar darling, The Virgil, we jazzed it up a notch by sporting bows, ties, and bowties! Fashion's knottiest accessory came out to play in the wildest of ways. From bows on dresses to sparking tie necklaces to tuxedo t-shirts, guests really brought the bow.

The Virgil played the part nicely, too, with bartenders and bouncers sporting their own version of the stylish adornment. In addition to looking dapper, they also kept the bar up to dress code with clever conconctions. Atlantico Rum and Oro Pisco were the main players in a menu boasting not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE, count 'em, FIVE, cocktails for yelpers' enjoyment: Torentel Fizz, Antique, Rum Cobbler, Dark Angel and self-serve Pisco Punch! Hungry Nomad Truck was on hand delighting palates of picky yelpers with two heaping portions of their Armenian-inspired menu items, ensuring that no bower fled the scene feeling famished.

While enjoying The Virgil's new Southern estate library meets parlour room digs, tunes from the complimentary juke box in the lounge kept guests from experiencing the silent treatment, while the other room was kept lively with the sounds of El-Haru Kuroi. Jane Sha Photography went back and forth from room to room to capture all the bow-tie worthy moments that can be seen on Yelp LA's Flickr page. Read the reviews here.

What an awesome event!! The drinks were deeeelish, and the samples from The Hungry Nomad were huuuge and amazing! ...I plan to hunt down that truck in the very near future. The band was rocking and the venue overall was a really cool spot! I'll definitely hit up The Virgil on a girls night out or when I want a low key venue to lounge about and get a specialty cocktail.

A special shout out to the event coordinators and the bartenders cause they were working HARD!!
