What are the things you love? Poetry? A glass of scotch? Endless edibles and dastardly drinks among shelves of leather bound books and the smells of rich mahogany?
Enter the Anchorman Aweigh! Elite Event at PARK Restaurant & Bar.
Harvard Square's hotspot for nouveau comfort food and craft cocktails hosted more than 100 Boston Elites and their guests for an evening rich with laughs, love and sparkly shorts, as we paid tribute to the Channel 4 News team. Dressed in their finest 70s attire, attendees basked in the glory of Old Bay pitas loaded with crab and lobster dip, roasted vegetable crudité sided by whipped feta and hummus, and a full New England cheese table with fresh berries. Trays of sweet garlic, roasted mushroom and telligio toasts, crispy sour dough mussels with horseradish dipping sauce, baby “bacon, egg and cheese” toast points, steak tartare and house-cured gravlax sent skyrockets in flight, while the mini crème brulees and salted caramel + peppered chocolates made for an after-snack delight.
After a rousing round of Booting Baxter (in the bin to win Yelp sunglasses!), thirsts were quenched by Písco Porton-powered punch and Lavender Moons, a blend of Greylock gin, St Germain & house-made lavender rose honey syrup. High & Mighty Beer sated the strictest of suds snobs and Two Oceans provided grown-up grape juice that sprayed the whole crowd with Sex Panther. Speaking of! Vance Legstrong, WYLP sports anchor and international sex symbol, stopped by to say hi and judge the best dressed contest. Dorise G won dinner for two at PARK, and runner-up Voravut R landed the sweetest prize of all – a 1lb Sugar Daddy.
Tatsu got it all on film (tag the Facebook album!) and the Talk threads are rife with scandal. Kind words galore string together to make this event's five-star reviews, but most importantly, Vance Legstrong approved. VANCE LEGSTRONG APPROVED!
