Yelp's Passport to Brixton Launch @ Seven at Brixton
Tick Tock! Tick Tock! Tick Tock!
Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
The clock struck Seven at Brixton signalling to Yelpers across the land that it was time to welcome in London's first ever Passport promotion!
London was awash with sunshine with temperatures soaring at 29 degrees, but that didn't hinder the hordes from heading south to wet the head of Passport to Brixton! At the arrival gates Yelpers were ushered along the candle lit hallway to the short ascent to their seats within the L-shaped room, where much needed cold beers and wines were waiting.
Owners Jonny Rushton, Liam Brown and their team welcomed the first 50 eager arrivals with a Seven Signature cocktail of their choosing. Mark S was obsessed by the Old Fashioned - a drink that is easy to get wrong, but the Seven staff served up bourbon brilliance!
The Spanish themed cocktail bar spoilt us with treats and eats from the continent: chorizo and manchego pintxos, Jamon Serrano with tomato and basil on bread, figs soaked in sherry with picos d'europa cheese and piquillo peper tortilla. Don't we sound all posh, worldly and very international!
Having had tweets and such a buzz surrounding the upcoming CashMob, we took advantage of having professional photographer Nathan Danity present and took some fantastic pre CashMob media photos! Elite Yelper Jennifer S looked pretty in prohibition pink (Yelp just got sexy) and super Yelper Yee Gan O leads by example both online and off! A big thank you to all who participated in the stunning shots!
A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Seven at Brixton for hosting such a fantastic evening and helping us see in the first ever London Passport in Brixton style! Also a huge thank you to our ever-fabulous Brixtonites and honorary Brixtonites for joining us to help the Passport take-off and get its wings! You can check out the photos by Marthaloves and Nathan Danity as well as the event reviews and join in the chatter on Talk.
